    OK, fwiw, I found out Okoli doesn't have to be protected because he wasn't on an MLS roster this season.

    If what I've been reading is true, Mix was protected because it's contractual. He not only has a no trade clause, but he's protected from being exposed to any expansion drafts.

    At first glance I didn't see his name on the list. A shame that he is protected. It was probably his best chance of finding a new team.
