We are pushing our luck at the back, this could end up 6-6 if it were not Brighton V Chelsea who have not got great scoring records since the start of 2018

If ever some fans needed a reminder about why we need Courtois, today is a good lesson. Goalkeeping on the edge today. Yikes.

I think he is a good shot stopper as shown in the pen shootout but he does seem to suffer from severe brain farts

Another good move between Bats, Hazard and Willian. excellent movement and awareness of space and the position of each other

Overall excellent but bats does need to watch his line better. He was never an option for the final ball.

Lovely interplay though. Great to see and it bothers a defence not knowing which angles to cover.

I think it helps that Brighton's defense are playing an unfamiliar system and it shows.

Cav showing his good points with an excellent reaction save.

Chelsea's defense are still at home in bed they obviously think it is a 3pm kick off

Letting them get back into the game here. Sloppy from rudiger, weak marking. Lots to improve on.

oh big decision from the ref there but I think he is right, the attacker made contact with Baka not the other way round, but clumsy from Baka.

And now Christianson seems to have got away with one too

We had a discussion in the west stand lower on Wednesday about who we would rather see in midfield instead of Baka. After much discussion and many ever more absurd suggestions it was finally agreed that even playing with 10 men would be better as at least someone would cover the space he would have been in.

Ha. I posted that same thought a few weeks ago and wasn't joking. It's actually depressing how invisible such a physical player can become.

I've been trying to determine what position Baka is playing today and the penny just dropped. He's clearly been told to observe Kante's game and that's what he's doing. He's literally positioned so he can watch Kante play.

Maybe passenger is off. Maybe The Observer is more on the nose.

Well as they say what goes around comes around but in the case of refereeing decisions I would much prefer they got it right first time or even with the help of video. I think the standard of refereeing is getting worse not better

Lovely through ball and tidy finish. Far from a comfortable 3-0 but happy to see us score some good goals this year.

Great showing today from a lot of players who played extended minutes on Wednesday.

    Goal of the season.

Aside from his contribution to The Goal, Michy just looked out of sync.

Willy obviously comes from the "punch it away" school. It's the worst. Catch it.

Some good goals today. Think the 2 man midfield suits Baka more. He probably went from a 1/10 to 5/10 today. Still loads to improve but worked hard. Alonso looked ready to collapse in exhaustion.

4-0 is probably a bit rough on BHA....they had good chances and probably a PK or 2. Still nice to see us finally score. Glad my prediction came through. :)
