And again in the Man City match.. YC to Raheem Stirling and yet the injured player left the field. Am I missing something?
Probably has to do with the requirement that treatment be "completed quickly". From the LOTG. "As a general guide, the restart should not be delayed for more than about 20–25 seconds beyond the point when everyone was ready for play to restart."
Also, you know, sometimes when a player is hurt they want those extra few seconds. In the Wolves situation, with the DFK going on goal and the player seemingly in some real pain, I don’t think he had any urgency to return just because he could. Waiting until after the DFK probably buys 30 more seconds minimum so why not take it? Just because a player can stay doesn’t mean he’s always going to want to do so.
Bobby Madley has left the PGMOL. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...feree-bobby-madley-quits-due-change-personal/
NOOOOOO!!!!! I hope more of the story is revealed in the coming weeks because that was really sudden/unexpected.

And within the Madley story was a quick mention that Roger East failed his fitness test and isn’t eligible to be used for a few more weeks. And there was a quick blurb in the Guardian a couple weeks back that said that Jonathan Moss came in a tad overweight, and slow. Combine that with Clatts leaving, and the English PGMOL is in a world of trouble.
The problem seems to stem from the top. When people like Webb and Clattenburg leave, and Hackett and a few others who have contributed a great amount to the refereeing program and certainly know what they are talking about, continue to point out issues within the system, something is wrong somewhere. Keeping the same old referees for year after year when they are clearly past their "use by" dates and very few new people coming through are also indications. Now we see a very promising and highly rated young referee just up and quit after his first year on the FIFA list? Probably not due to parental abuse! It might be interesting to see what his younger brother does also. PH
Neil Swarbick with a second game in a row with a send off. Hayden coming from behind and going through him while making contact on the opposing players calf with his studs. Pretty controversial according to the announcers...
Craig Pawson isn’t messing around this season. Second spot on straight red in two games by giving Hayden his deserved marching orders in the Cardiff-Newscastle game.
No way that was controversial. No control, directly from behind, contact with the Achilles. Textbook serious foul play. Pawson is on point so far this season, as his send off of Jagielka last week was also the right call.
Boy do I look silly I was thinking Craig Pawson and put Neil Swarbrick (and incorrectly spelled Swarbrick too)... Yeah, I agree it’s not controversial, it was just amazing the announcers were saying it’s controversial. Well, maybe amazed isn’t the right word since it’s not surprising to be wrong...

Considering that Madley also comes from South Yorkshire, just a few miles from where Webb is from, this is not beyond the realm of possibility. FWIW, Madley was at the Dallas Cup a few years ago. PH
When I read "The Sun is reporting..." I stop reading. It's not unlikely, I've heard from numerous people "You can have a FIFA badge or a healthy marriage. Not both." There's some exceptions, of course, but there's truth to it. I wouldn't be shocked if Madley was coming to work for PRO, though.
It wasn't really a blatant attempt. Oliver read it correctly. No YC needed here. Mane didn't want the free-kick or the PK. He doesn't take the PKs, he wanted a goal for himself so would stay on his feet. PH
