Is it really only 4 days to our first game? What happened to the summer? Did you have a good one?

As is our tradition... BS Spurs, get yer crazy predicitions in here so we can all laugh at ourselves in a year's time.
(I removed the 'signing of the season' category, for obvious reasons )

for the record, I do not believe for a second that we'll win a treble - or a double, for that matter. but I do have a sneaking feeling that we will win something this year. and when we do, I will have predicted it.

... all of this will have changed by Sunday.

hmmm ... I actually thought we might win something. a fleeting moment of madness there.

nailed Kane as leading scorer, though ... as did everyone else - and not just on this thread, but in the world. and got the player of the season, too; though I'm guessing one or two will want to give it to Eriksen or Verts as a change of pace. Winks as the disappointment is in with a shout, too; but if we're honest, Toby, Lloris, Wanyama, and Rose are all potential candidates, as well.

all-in-all I think we have to say it's been a good year. for the third year in a row, I genuinely hate that this team - a team good enough to win something - has failed to do so. but it was always going to be a challenge playing away from N17, and I would've taken a very credible 3rd going in ... so I'm pretty happy today.

I'd guess we'll lose Toby, and maybe Rose; but it looks to me like anyone else leaving will be doing so because it's what Poch wants - not the player. As it stands, I think it reasonable to assume that we'll be more competitive next year than this year - and that's really all I wanted from our season away. it hasn't fallen apart. A step sideways, perhaps, or even a small step back, but nothing to derail 'the program'.

... and some special moments along the way. Madrid at Wembley won't be forgotten for a while, I can tell you.

let's just get through Russia unscathed, and roll on 2018-19. COYS!

Poch staked out his ideas after the final game... a challenge to Levy to give him the means to take the next step forward. With a new stadium to pay for, who knows how much more Joe Lewis will prise out of his wallet. Ballsy of Poch, to come out with it like that. Great to see that ambition, though it is far from certain to be realized. The elite payers that make a difference can have their pick of where to play, and if it's purely salary that decides it, we will not be able to compete. I'd like to think this club offers something more, something exciting to be involved with.

As for special moments, I'd add that win at Chelsea too.
