    Just checked by googling, the last time the Ohio River froze was years 76 to 77 and winter of 77 to 78.

    I can believe the winter of 77-78. Nasty one. There was a week in January it didn't get above 10 below on my campus--most of January was below zero. Then there was the Blizzard of 78.... We had a 3-4 ft base and then got a foot on Thursday and 2 ft on Friday and they closed school at noon.:eek:
