Lindsey just said: "The energy is still strong on the bench". That's great news I was really worried about bench energy.
I'm sorry but I may out of line but in these situations, at least give a chance to Miranda to what he can do and give Hamid something better. That being said, the last minutes were filled of missed opportunities by United so it could've been a different story if they captilized... but if you want to know how a player works under pressure in a deficit, this could've been the right time.
Good game from Hamid. Not bad from Acosta either. But this is what we're going to look like the entire season unless Miranda is hiding something we haven't seen yet. Because Brown and Mullins are ... not good. By my count, that's 15 times we've been shut out this season. We've got only seven multi-goal games.
In the end, Miranda came in but he doesn't show much (played poorly in my opinion) but again, it wasn't enough minutes to showcase his skills. That being said, he knew he would only have a few minutes to shine and he didn't perform. Hopefully, he will get another chance in a better circumstance (more mins). A lot of opportunities that weren't driven home for United, else the outcome would've been slightly different and I think it's kinda of a plus since it was generated by mostly (pls correct me if I'm wrong) the "new" guys. All things considering, the future looks bright.
Yea that's the 15th shutout. That matches the number of times we were shutout in 2013 and 2010. One more and it's a club record for a season I believe.
When Chicago attacked, they often had more attackers than we had defenders. When we attacked, we had fewer attackers than they had defenders. It's not a formula for victory.
That's what happens when you don't have the team speed to play counter attacking soccer. Your only hope is that your team is good enough to play possession in the midfield and find the killer pass. Acosta is that good but his killer pass often finds the feet of Patrick "Upper Deck" Mullins and Deshorn "Whiff" Brown. james
how about just kick it good enough? When they play like one legged pirates kicking a cannonball around a rolling deck why get too precise about their imprecision?
I'm not going to dog Mullins or Brown. Those guys could score 15 goals in the right system. Neither are lone strikers. Ben has the wrong players out there for a 4-2-3-1.
Patrick Mullins scored 8 goals in 14 games played (12 started, 1048 minutes) in this lone striker system last year.
The parts I was awake for looked pretty bad. Low couch energy. Turned off the tube at 90 min, somewhat surprised to see they managed to concede again in stoppage. But hey, we scored!
