So my prediction is who cares? OK if they win a road game in LA I will feel better....... It is Friday and no one has started the Game Thread yet. Maybe this will get no replies and no views..... Great Job RFO, like reverse psychology is this reverse marketing ("we want so much apathy you can cut it with a stick!") R
I think it's Saturday night? Maybe 8, but possibly 7 or 6. Unusual season in that LA stinks, thus taking away my second favorite team to root for in the playoffs (and often my only team in the playoffs, um since the Rapids often miss out). Usually I at least speed through the Rapids, but this one is tough to even remember that with World Cup Qualifying and the Buffs also starting. LA missing key players to qualifying? I'm rooting for the spoon for the Rapids but I could see them disappointing this weekend and winning 2-1, LA are terrible and I assume are missing players. Games I'm looking forward to? US - Costa Rica, Spain v Italy, Mexico v Honduras?, England v Moldova?, qualifying highlights. And the Buffs v Rams. Not MLS this weekend, although I look forward to playoffs, and the final push to them.
I've been told by both Cooke and Padraig that Aigner will dress for this game. Whether he actually sees the field or not is anybody's guess though.
I won't be able to see it live, since I'll be in Maryland visiting my 93-year-old mom. Always want to beat LA. Next year I'll have 2 LA teams to hate along with the 2 NY teams. But can we actually beat ANYBODY, since we lost to DCU at home? Have to say it's unlikely, but still hoping. Want to see Aigner play.

Well, we do get to see how Berner's been progressing, so there is at least one productive reason to tune in. 1-1 tie.
The Gals have the worst home record in the MLS (1-8-4). The Rapids have the worst road record in the MLS (0-10-2). The second half of the season to date, the Gals are 0-7-1. The Rapids are 0-5-3. These are the only two teams in the MLS averaging below a point a game. The Gals average 1.28 goals per game. The Rapids average 0.96. The Rapids rank 21st in goals (0.96 per game), tied for 14th in assists, dead last in shots (9.64 per game), dead last in shots on goal (3.12 per game), 4th in fouls committed (14.52 per game) and dead last in fouls suffered (10.04 per game), and dead last in corners (3.28 per game). This game is pregnant with meaninglessness. Only the Spoon is in play. Frankly, the MLS should scratch this game or dock both teams a point just for playing it. It's the MLS equivalent of the St. Louis Browns versus the Philadelphia Athletics.
MacMath Hairston - Ford - Sjoberg - Miller Gil - Azira - Saeid Gashi - Basji - Doyle Aigner is dressed and on the bench. In fact Burling is the only available player not dressed (with 19 players available somebody had to be the odd man out)
