Like the formation change a lot. Excited to see Lewis and Nicholson on the wings. Like that they didn’t wait to get the new guys into the starting XI. Dislike Wilson still in the midfield. He’s such a liability. Would much rather see Acosta at 6 with Price and Mezquida/Basset/Nicholson at 10. All that said, I’m encouraged with the formation and the lineup. Been a long time since I’ve said that.
As much as I don't like Wilson out there, the formation change at least has the benefit of giving Price some support. Not a bad start so far.
Sam Johnson needs to be marked more closely. He's creating too much space and starting to get closer looks.
Should play Acosta next to Price and let him go forward while Price has to always stay back. Then we could get Bassett in to help the attack. I just think Wilson adds nothing.
It's hard not to grin when Lalas Abubakar's name is pronounced "a boo-boo car." Yes, I'm going on 5 years old. Deal with it.
Thru 20': Well, we haven't conceded yet, so yay! No meaningful possession in RSL end Kamara and Lewis haven't had a chance to do anything useful yet. Abubakar fine so far
And then a PK conceded by Anderson. I think it's harsh. But it doesn't matter what I think, and we're in our usual place - behind.
And it's 0-2. Anderson beaten again and no cover. To be fair, it was a great pass, an excellent first touch, and a quality finish.
Seriously, people. It's versus not verse...we are talking sports, not Shakespeare. Pet peeve -- reversed. Now, back to losing 1-0. Ugh.
Wooden Spoon update: Don't look (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Don't look (open) Don't look (close) Two final results: FC Cincinnati 2, Montreal 1 New England 3, San Jose 1 For the moment, the Rapids lead the Wooden Spoon race by eight points. Even with a win tonight [insert laugh track here], it's still five points.
Not that I know who would do better, but could we have SOMEBODY beside Price take a free kick or a corner?
