It seems the matches are coming quickly. 4th of July is just around the corner. Obviously the Rapids are in form and confident, in a way they haven't been in years and they fear no one. The Revs, like the Rapids have benefited from a in season coaching change. And it will the return of fan favorite Edgar Castillo. NE played at Houston on Saturday and won 2-1. They are 3-1-1 in their last five with all three wins coming on the road. Rapids could be without Price and Nicholson and of course Lewis will be gone again - hope he gets on the pitch with the MNT tomorrow night.
Along with the fireworks will there be a flyover a la the Washington DC celebration? More seriously it is nice to not be discussing flying over with negative banners re. Coach, FO, etc.
Interesting stat.... 1146164309522731008 is not a valid tweet id Boy, I would love to hear the pre-match convo going into this one. July 4th game, up against the Revolution....plenty of talking points available!
I was only 9 years old at the time, but I remember that as well! Nice little video for our viewing pleasure: https://www.coloradorapids.com/post/2015/12/15/rapidsmoment-spencers-4th-july-hat-trick Definitely wouldn't mind seeing another hat trick by the boys in burgundy tomorrow!
Not sure it will make the trip. We were in the UK when it flew last, some lady ran up and popped it (stabbed it with a knife). They tried to repair for an Ireland visit, but it didn't look the same.
The Baby Trump Blimp is going to be in DC. Enjoy those who go, I'm in the mountains. Beat the Revolution on July 4th! Has nice ring to it.
"Since that first Jameson’s Night, the #Rapids96 are 9-4-2 against New England at home, outscoring the visitors 29-14 with six shutouts." #COLvNE https://t.co/TVyz1I0kQJ— Burgundy Wave (@Burgundywave) July 3, 2019
If you want to see the start of the match from your seats, then arrive in the parking lot earlier than you think you need to as this is one match where there are a lot of non-regulars in attendance and they seem to gum up the works in terms of both parking and entrance to the stadium. As for parking, someone else may have good a suggestion as I have a season ticket pass, but don't park in the STH lot.
2-1 win, goals by Kamara and Shinyashiki. 4th of July and Jameson Night is too much for New England to overcome. They're improved under Arena, but not as much as we've improved with Casey. The undefeated streak stretches to eight as we go into a few extra days of break before the difficulty level goes up. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2019/07/jameson-night-2019.html
Attending WWC games in Lyon right now and doubt I’ll be up to watch. 3-1 Ralids victory. Kamara with a goal and Shinyashiki with a brace. Will check in later for results.
Looks there’s a tornado watch in effect until 10 pm tonight for much of eastern Colorado including Commerce City.
After tonight we'll have had 11 home games and 8 road games. Was wondering when that evens out...4 straight road games in August. That could be rough. But until then, keep going, Rapids!
5:30 pm ⛈ WEATHER ALERT: Due to severe weather in the area, we are currently under a delay. We will provide updates as to when gates will open and gametime as we receive more information.#Rapids96 | #Elevate— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) July 4, 2019
Two thoughts. This match will be a big test for Casey as a coach. After an emotional win over a strong team, there could be a let-down for this match. It will be a test of his motivational ability as well as his coaching to get the team back up for tonight's match. Weather delays won't help. A good match and a win here tonight, and I'm off the fence: it's Casey time. Lest we ever forget: Hudson’s all-time Rapids MLS regular season record: 43 matches as head coach, 8-26-9 record, 0.767 PPG; 48 GF (1.116 avg), 87 GA (2.023 avg), -39 differential. Bobby Houghton is off the hook as the worst coach in franchise history. After enduring Houghton's laughingstock team, those are words I never thought I'd write.

Rapids having the better of the match in the early going. Kamara is shaking their defenders. All we need is the ball at his feet.
