The first goal this weekend was pretty impressive. The kid has some wheels:

G.Guedes with a Golazo today. He really is in some crazy form right now.

Guedes should get some game time in friendly for Portugal, think we are going to play Spain in November in Madrid.

Guedes has been shutting up his critics, some really impressive displays this season.

Bruma had a great game for Leipzig's 3-2 win over Dortmund as well this weekend:

Also we're no longer playing Spain in November, they confirmed matches against Costa Rica and Russia.

Apparently we're looking for matches with teams coming from outside of Europe in preparation for the World Cup.

That's not even mentioning the last goal where in a crazy game with a nutty score line he still has the strength in the 92nd minute to steal a ball in his box, run the length of the field and bag an assist. Crazy level of confidence, speed and stamina. He's a special player. PSG knew what they were doing...

Except they didn't because he sat the bench, got no minutes, and was loaned out.

As long as he's a PSG player, he has no chance. Loan should've included an option to buy.

Also, Rony Lopes starting to string together some fine performances for Monaco. Man of the match today.

And now Guedes scores again. 2 goals and 1 assist today. Man of the Match again.

I hope he stays at Valencia. If he goes back to PSG, he'll be stuck behind Neymar and Mbappe.

If Guedes can maintain even half of this form he's currently in he has to start for Portugal. You simply can't ignore someone while they make this game look easy week in and week out. At this point I think heads all over Europe are turning. Isn't that 3 motm performances out of 4? The Portugal u21 team instantly got weaker shown by their last performance by his absence, and Valencia instantly got stronger.

Bernardo started on the weekend for once, played well. Although I think he can sometimes pass backwards/sideways too much

Andre Silva is a worry, didn't even play today at home. Dumb move to go to Milan before the WC but $ talks

Guedes has to be the most in-form player in Europe right now. Surely he has to replace Mario

Guedes is absolutely on fire. No question. He destroyed Sevilla yesterday. What a game. And 9 games in Valencia is in 2nd place on the liga with a better GD than Real - in no small part due to his torrid start to the season.
His pace is incredible and that cannon of a shot for the 1st goal - holy crap.
We don't have to make decisions about the starting lineup on the NT in a while but either way if he continues to play even half-way like this he is a lock on the NT. Super-sub or starter (doubt it) he is a fantastic weapon to have on a team that outside our 32-year-old CR7 is not actually particularly pacy.

Yeah as I mentioned earlier, Bruma, Guedes, and Gelson who is already on the team all give us pace on the wings.

in Fernando Santos' lineup a 4-4-2 with pacy wingers would be deadly on the counter against stronger teams where we'd defend more.

Guedes is playing incredibly well and over the weekend he showed a little bit of everything. But my favorite play of his this season, and the one that has me the most excited, is the second assist against Real Sociedad. That showed great vision, creativity and ability.

He's playing so well right now that during the match against Sevilla I was like, "He can't be this good, right?"

Well, Ruben Dias has started the past couple matches for Benfica, including against Manchester United in the CL. That's nothing to scoff at considering he's a 20-year-old. Better to have him playing than not, but it'd be nice for Portugal to have more than just Luis Neto at CB between ages 21 and 33.

In other news, Raphael Guerreiro is back! He entered as a sub and supposedly played well in Dortmund's German Cup match yesterday.

Absolutely baffles me that Carrico doesn’t get a look in. Has anyone been keeping track of how Semedo and Paulo Oliveira have been getting on in Spain ?

I know semedo struggled at the start but not heard much since

Edgar Ie is starting every game for Lille but they're in relegation.

Paulo Santos had a good game for Columbus Crew. A poorly ruled off-side goal assisted by him robbed the Crew of an outright win, but they still won the PKs and continue in the MLS Cup play-offs.

How many games Hasn’t Ronaldo scored in? I am a bit worried now on his form. Hopefully he enters the best form of his life during the World Cup. Like Bane said to Batman “Victory has defeated you”. Two Champion League titles in a row, and LaLiga title and the European Championship.

He needs motivation, and He needs the hate to drive him.
