When i saw Eder falling down on the pitch head first to win battles, i knew he was going to score. Something took over his soul when he came on.
The best he played since his 2 injuries at Braga. Goes to show that when it's all on the line who's heart is really in it. Even Moutinho was a total monster winning the ball that led to the goal. Unlike 2004 these guys laid it all on the line and it's been said but France taking out Ronaldo was the dumbest thing they could have done because our players were pissed and played like they had everything to prove. Never again will a commentator (with half a brain) say Portugal is nothing without Ronaldo.
Portugal is one of the top 5 teams in the world. Not a one man team at all. Off topic but Argentina is most definitely a one man team. They are nothing without the little guy.
Goosebump mania. This is the best one ever made. Had millions of views on Youtube but UEFA took the original one down due to Copyright infringement. It's been re-made to bypass it.
Is there a documentary about this tournament like those "Gerecao Scolari" documentaries from 2004/2006?
I thought I heard all the relatos but never heard these malucos yet. I can listen this this stuff all day long.
While we won in 2016, both Euro 2000 and 2004 still hurts. 2000 because of how fantastic we played, and how we went toe to toe with the best team in the world at the time in a period where legends littered the lineups of most International teams (look at the squads of most teams in Euro 2000..best international tournament I ever watched) 2004 because we had one of the best teams we ever assembled and were one of the best teams in the World Cup..how we got to the final, and then choking away a chance at redemption.
Yep. Hard to find though http://www.noahmediagroup.com/uefa-euro-2016/ I'll try find a link to the vid
Yeah that was a great tournament to watch. So many great teams. It was unfortunate the way Portugal went out.
Again, Sorry... “Abel meteste a tua mão, fodeste a nossa selecção. Agora cá estamos outra vez, para varrermos o francês. Com as bandeiras à janela, o cigano faz a trivela, e o Éder factura com a canela. O Ronaldo levanta a taça, o emigra invade a praça e as francesas vão com os tugas para casa! La la la la…”
One year ago today. Memories that will never be forgotten. We will all remember where we were this day and the emotions we all felt race through our bodies when Eder scored the most meaningful goal in Portuguese history. To this day.. i still can not express the true feeling i had when that goal went in.. excitement and disbelief all in one... July 10th, 2016.
Still hard to believe due to the circumstances surrounding the tournament and what occurred. Ronaldo coming off injured, Eder making the only great shot he ever made from outside the 18 in his life. Tying all three group stage games in the easiest group in European Championship history. Beating France in Paris after all the heartbreak France has caused us in semi finals, and in similar fashion to the way Greece won in Lisbon. I still maintain Fernando Santos has an obligation to play far more positively with the talent available, this will be our best chance to win a World Cup in 2018, we will never have a goalscorer like Ronaldo again.
And, for his part, Cristiano must finish chances next summer. How many opportunities has he wasted between the 2014 WC, Euro 2017 and the 2017 CC? He'll have opportunities and he needs to convert at a higher rate.
