Hopefully Guimaraes can survive and he can stay there. If they get relegated I doubt he'll stay behind with them in the 2nd League.

They don't call them the Coca-Cola FIFA rankings for nothing. :D

Its all really based on the theory of relativity. If you put a relatively full suitcase of $ in front of the FIFA ministry in charge of misinformation, there is a relativaly high chance that your teams rankings will be unusally high, based on triumphs v. such football powers as Guatemala, Jamaica (apparently a 1-1 tie with Jamaica, can erase a 4-1 thrashing from Germany), or Panama. Don't get me wrong I think they have a very solid team with a lot of potential, but do I see them as a top 10 team in the world ... not at this time.

Another random thought. Definition of a dumb ... = me :D for selecting Wisla Plock and Zaglebie Lubin, over Legia Warszawa and Wisla Krakow, respectively, in last weeks OE PL. Whoever said fortune favours the brave obviously never made soccer predictions.

Looking at some of the slogans they provided for the other countries, it would appear that we are not the only ones stuck with these rather lame slogans.

Good find Johnny, I'm going to save the web page for the future when I need some hilliarity to cheer me up.

BTW, do you guys find it as enjoyable as I do to go to the other teams slogan pages and voting for the lamest ones? They are all pretty bad, in fact there is only one that I can say I really like, the German one "We are Football". It takes guts, history, tradition and results to have a slogan like that, and the Germans do deserve it.

    Typical American one.

"United we play, united we win"

Don't they use that one for every sport they compete in?
