Yeah, I still need to learn just what a TM exactly is, I was thinking a heart scale was one, but apparently I got heart scales, not TM. I've played 11 times so far and no special moves.
And tms you can only use once while a hm can be used multiple times but can't be unlearned unless you go to the move deleter... Hms are also used ingame for cutting down trees, pushing boulders, surfing, etc.
In Xand Y you can use TMs as many times as you want. Once you get them, they never run out like a HM.
So I fully completed XY, I had previously finished the game months ago, but I went back and traded/bred/evolved every Pokemon from XY. Also managed to get a bunch that weren't in the game via trades. I right now I have 548 in my pokedex, not bad. I got the GameStop codes for Diancie and traded a couple away, got an Arceus and a Thundurus for them. I'm slowly trying to collect as many legendaries as I can.
The trailer also confirms various other details such as the Legendary Pokémon available to catch in Mirage Spotsin OR/AS. Pokémon confirmed: Raikou Entei Suicune Lugia Ho-Oh Uxie Mesprit Azelf Dialga Palkia Cresselia Heatran Cobalion Terrakion Virizion Tornadus Thundurus Landorus Reshiram Zekrom In addition, Regirock, Regice, and Registeel can be obtained in a similar way to the original Ruby/Sapphire, bydeciphering an ancient code. After catching the trio, trainers can then encounter Regigigas. Basically, if it's not an event Legendary you'll be able to catch it.
Playing this at the moment since I got GBA4IOS back on my iPhone after IOS 8.1 deleted it... It is pretty fun and puts and interesting spin on Pokemon. Its a breath of fresh air. All of the pokemon have been "candyfied" @Dante maybe your lad will like this one

ya I watch some Anime from time to time and some graphic novels but as of late not much. Ive lost interest and somethings are just overly perverted.... I like pokemon ruby was my best game out of the pokemon series.
Actually Emerald was Cooch, but Emerald was just Ruby and Sapphire combined into one basically. And I literally started playing it again about a year ago when I found out you could play it on iphone. Before I had it on my iphone the last pokemon game I had played was Emerald(2005).
