Five points for me (picked four on the survey). I think United squeezes out three more draws. Maybe against NE, Philly, and one "surprise" (RSL?).
With Easter right around the corner I'm filled with hope for a totally irrational result. 10+ How does that go? Having abandoned by search for the truth, I'm now looking for one good fantasy.
3 points. I think 1 point in the next nine games is a realistic expectation. Not sure where we get it, but we should get a bounce or two somewhere to steal one.
United has 10 games coming up before Audi Field. Game Points @KC 0 Home Col 1 @Phil 1 @RSL 1 @San Jose 0 @ LAFC 0 @seattle 0 @ Toronto 0 @ NE 3 @LAG 0 I see maybe 6 points in the next 10 games. We have a chance at "home" against Columbus and Philadelphia. After those games, it gets really tough.
A win a two draws from among Columbus, and at Philly, SJ, NE. And that's optimistic. That would be 5 more points, so 7 total going into Bastille Day at Audi Field.
After tonight, DCU will be stuck on 2 points on July 14. Does anyone expect this dog's regurgitated breakfast to get another standings point before then? Or after?
I was hopeful of 10 but now even I realize you need 2 dice to roll better than 6 and this team is in a craps game with one die. Bury this season midfield at audi before the sod goes in.
The right answer is 6, but that wasn't an option. I assume someone (everyone) thinks beyond their game with us and Own Goal for them nets one, and Mattocks finds one (out of his 4 chances) so as to give us a win AND more importantly, keep us from getting a legit striker any time before I turn 60. I don't see how this defense and this offense combine for more than one win without some sort of divine intervention (and even then, not likely). And from the "not likely to get better department", I heard yesterday from someone who knows that DCU Academy coaches are paid what amounts to the going rate for summer interns. The way he described it, "the only reason you'd do this is to be able to say you were connected to an MLS team, but you might not want to say which one..."
