Just when you think that Argyle have blown it, they come back with 2 wins in a row, last saturday away to Portsmouth they score 2 goals in a minute to win 2-1 and tonight they win 3-1 at Leyton Orient. Unfortunately their rivals also had successful games so with 3 games left, what does it mean, well Argyle are guaranteed to be in the playoffs, obviously they would prefer to be in the automatic positions
    1 [IMG]Northampton Town 43 92 CHAMPIONS
    2 [IMG]Accrington Stanley 43 78
    3 [IMG]Oxford United 43 77
    4 [IMG]Plymouth Argyle 43 77
    5 [IMG]Bristol Rovers 43 76
    6 [IMG]Portsmouth 42 69
    7 [IMG]AFC Wimbledon 42 68

If the playoffs were to begin today they would play AFC Wimbledon in a 2 game playoff, the winner would play at Wembley against either Bristol and Portsmouth, but they are only 1 point out of 2nd place. Argyle are home to bottom place and relegated Dagenham on saturday.

2016-17 season is just about to begin. Where will Argyle finish.

13 new players have joined Argyle, 9 pre-season games played, 6 wins and 3 draws, 40 goals scored and 5 conceded (3 of which were penalties)
    St Blazey 0 - 9 Argyle. Saturday 9 July.
    Tavistock 2 - 7 Argyle. Tuesday 12 July.
    Bovey Tracey 0 - 6 Argyle. Wednesday 13 July.
    Torquay United 1 - 1 Argyle. Saturday 16 July.
    Truro City 0 - 2 Argyle. Tuesday 19 July.
Elburton Villa 0 -12 Argyle. Wednesday 20 July.
    Weymouth Town 1 - 1 Argyle. Saturday 23 July.
    Dutch training camp 24 July - 29 July. MVV Maastricht 1 - 2 Argyle. Geusselt Stadium,Tuesday 26 July.
Argyle 0 - 0 West Bromwich Albion. Saturday 30 July.

    scorers
    Goodwillie 10
    Jervis 6
    Spencer 6
    Carey 4
    Slew 3
    Battle 2
    Bradley 2
    Rooney 2
    Songo'o 2
    Ijaha 1
    Purrington 1
    OG 1

Argyle would be expected to be undefeated for the first 7 games as they were all against teams from much lower in the football pyramid but the last 2 games were pleasant surprises, MVV Maastricht is in the equivalent to the championship league in Holland and WBA is a premier division team.
Argyle open at home to Luton next saturday.

Every team has played one game in League Two, and your score was Plymouth Argyle 0:3 Luton Town. Then Reading 2:0 Plymouth Argyle eliminated you from the League Cup.

What a difference 3 weeks make, on tuesday Argyle won 4-1 against Newport in the first game of the Checkatrade Trophy, then today Argyle won 1-0 at home against Cheltenham, their 5th win in a row and Argyle are now 3rd in the league, one point behind the leaders, 3 weeks ago Argyle were rock bottom in the league.
Todays winner was scored by defenceman Bradley in the 93rd minute.
