Parkhurst is not bad... he is not caliber of our national team... but he would probably do pretty decent... not going to set the world on fire...

lets hope the run of good form continues in the league.. if we get bounced out of the cup, so be it, but lets hope we survive and are not relegated.

Yes it was good news today for a change. Hopefully there will news on player movements soon. Couple of rumours out there, 1. is that Mackie will be moving out soon, 2. Maclean to go to a Scottish team, 3. a decent striker coming in on loan.

I'm sure there will be other moves before the end of the month.

Tomorrow's game against QPR is postponed, due to the big freeze in the UK.

Game Day Newcastle v Argyle FA Cup replay.

Argyle news Mackie will not play tonight he has a "sickness" could be transferitus or he has a cold. Arnason last minute decision. I dont expect much out of this game.

Joe Mason had his contract extended.

Some good news John Carver has signed a two and half year contract to be Argyl'e assistant coach, this was after he was headhunted by new Burnley manager, Carver said he had a loyalty to Paul Mariner and liked the atmosphere and players and wanted to be part of Argyle's 5 year plan.
I'm sure he would have made a lot more money with Burnley than he will with Argyle, but he says he is loyal to PM for giving him the chance.
Crystal Palace tomorrow, lets see if they can continue there league run.

the Cup was a bit of a blow off, i knew we wouldnt go far in that.... but if they can bounce back from the newcastle loss, that will help us immensely

Well another 1-0 defeat, sounded like they played pretty badly. You are not going to win if you dont shoot on the net. Defence is playing OK but we dont have any forwards who can score. Mackie has missed the last 2 games because of the "flu" but has he really got the "flu"???

There is a behind closed doors friendly with Fulham today, here is a list of the players playing, but the interesting part is the bit about the trialists, up to 9 of them.

Aki Hayashi goalie who is Japanese attending college in Plymouth and practising with Argyle but cant get papers to sign with Argyle.
    David McNamee
Damian McCrory - recalled from loan at Grimsby
    Ryan Leonard
    Yoann Folly
    Craig Noone
    Bradley Wright-Phillips

Yala Bolasie recalled from loan at Barnet
    George Donnelly
    Alan Gow
    Joe Mason

    and up to nine trialists.

Names in bold have played for first team this year.

Not much news about the trialists, 4 of them practiced with the first team yesterday, one is supposedely a goalie, there might be 1 or 2 Americans in the list, probably never know unless they get signed.

There maybe some news soon, there is a long thread that started this morning on Pasoti stating that Argyle are about to sign Kenny Cooper on loan from German side 1860 Munich. http://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?t=39556

JJ you might know something about Kenny Cooper, after his days at FC Dallas

Cooper's size fools a lot of people into thinking he can't be technical. In reality, he has a nice passing touch, very credible foot skill, and he's a highly accurate crosser and shooter from distance, along with the traits you would usually expect from a forward his size. He does lumber around, he's not going to win many foot races to the ball. Spent some time in Man U's development pipeline. A rock solid, very well rounded player, which may explain why he hasn't had more caps for the US--he isn't a specialist, which means that at any given position, our national team probably has a better option. The other reason would be his lack of pace, which I mentioned earlier.

Argyle fan here! Excited about Kenny coming. We desperately need a quality striker. Hope he's over his injury as we need him to hit the ground running. King Kenny - Welcome to Home Park!
