I must say that I'm really getting tired of all our strikers missing the goal. It doesn't matter who we put up front we never finish in the box. We REALLY need a true finisher to go to the next level!!! I don't see any now or on the horizon.

I might be wrong but hasn't Twellman been tried and failed for not finishing? Perhaps I'm thinking more about Razov who I know was a complete finishing failure.

TAylor Twellman, if he can ever do a damn thing when he's called in with the nats and then stay healthy when he's not. oh wait, he can't do either. but yes, it's Arena's fault. absolutely.

    Dear Allamerican74,

Why in my name would I give you a finisher?

I sent you Brian Ching and he scored in the first two U.S. games he played in and now people want to toss him aside like a Lou Vega greatest-hits collection.

Besides, Spector is obtaining me-like proportions without having actually done anything yet. If I sent you somebody who scored all the time, I might be out of a job.

I turned your boys into a respectable world power in under 10 years. Why don't you just get happy with that for a while, mmmmmmmkay?

    Sincerely,

    God

P.S. I've got bigger fish to fry than conjuring up a striker for your boys. The next time you call, why don't you ask for something a little more reasonable -- like getting Flannigan to start a Julie Foudy for President campaign.

    I'm out like Bishop Sprong.

    Peace

I am a Rev fan but Twellman is not the answer. He is OK but not better than the pack of other US strikers.

How about TT when he starts scoring more goals than the number of sicknotes he's been handing in?

Wolff is having a good and healthy year too.Wolff up top allows us to have some speed and keep Landon in the midfield.

OK, I didn't see today's game, but just for discussion I'll throw out the name Eskandarian.

    (ducking flames)

He's small and he's not flashy, but he reminds me a bit of Freddie Ljunberg (even though they play different positions) -- small, fast and in the right place at the right time to tap it in the net.

(with my luck he missed some sitters tonight, and i'll be banned from bs forever).
