Newcastle (3-0-3) vs Liverpool (3-2-1) Premier League Sunday, October 1, 4:30 PM St James' Park, Newcastle upon Tyne Injured: Dummet (NUFC) Lallana, Clyne (LFC) Suspended: Nobody?? Referee: Craig Pawson TV: SKY Sports - 4:30pm NBCSN, NBCSports, FubuTv, Telemundo 11:30AM EST, 8:30AM PST Our matches against Liverpool are often entertaining, but I've a feeling we'll get outscored in this one. Although some say their defense is unreliable, Joselu has been off target. So unless Lascelles is going to score a brace, we'll be playing gritty defense until they get one past us. Then, will we have an answer? Hoping for the best.
One last match coming your way! Here's how @NUFC and @LFC will be lining up today. #NEWLIV pic.twitter.com/0wruHMfbHI— NBC Sports Soccer (@NBCSportsSoccer) October 1, 2017
PEEEEPPPPP!!!! Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool https://t.co/0k6ETuWf0m— Mirror Football (@MirrorFootball) October 1, 2017
I'd feel so much better if Joselu had decisively struck his goal. Brave defending and good fortune made it hold up for the draw. Shelvey is back with a vengeance and looks to pair nicely with Merino. If our Spanish #9 and #10 can create more, we'll have some good wins this season. It feels good to take a point off a club with as much talent as Liverpool. Is this what having a good manager feels like?
