http://www.fagiano-okayama.com/news/index.php?c=topics_view&pk=1377237217 Signed for Fagiano Okayama in J-League Divison 2.
Now that I think about it I agree, plus the J-league is cool and all (so the 2nd tier is probably also chill)
I think its good he'll probably debut earlier there and if he impresses he'll get a look 1. J league. Cool having youth nat player in Japan
Update: Per OWTY.com The 18-year old American born forward recently made the game day roster for Fagiano’s penultimate match of the season on Nov. 16. It was the first time that he had featured beyond a reserve level for the J-League second division club. can mods change the title? He's at Fagiano Okayama now
Fagiano's second team was also promoted to the Japan Football League (JFL), which is currently the 3rd division of Japanese soccer but will be effectively the 4th tier next year when the J-League adds a 3rd division. Maybe some minutes there next year if he doesn't get 1st team reps?
Piakai is staying at Fagiano for the 2014 season and his new shirt number is 35. A local TV segment introduced him back in September (starts ~4:35): Piakai was spotted by PSG scouts at the age of 14 while on vacation He was trialing for another J-League team when discovered by Fagiano Fagiano's manager describes him as a "sturdy player with plenty of fight and a predatory instinct" Piakai hopes to eventually become a starter and contribute goals to the team He is known as "Kai" and enjoys sushi
Seems to have recently moved to Offenburger FV, also in the sixth division. http://www.fupa.net/berichte/offenburger-fv-verpflichtet-piakai-henkel-414397.html Club site: http://www.offenburgerfv.de/ Probably a good candidate for a move to the Academy forum...
... Offenburger FV – SV Linx 2:1 (1:0) Offenburg: Streif – Feger, Kahle, Schlieter – Adrian Vollmer, Petereit, Seger, Junker, Manuel Vollmer (90.+1 Armbruster) – Chrobok (76. Weide), Gueddin (69. Schätzle). Linx: Ball – Feist, Delion, Fuchs – Kelbi, Venturini (90.+3 Rapp), Göser, Angelino, Sermanoukian (46. Cadny) – Henkel, Rubio. Schiedsrichter: Schlager (Rastatt) – Zuschauer: 812. Tore: 1:0 Gueddin (32.), 2:0 Chrobok (53.), 2:1 Kelbi (81.). Gelb-Rote Karte: Seger (Offenburg) wegen wiederholten Fouls (72.). http://www.bo.de/sport/lokalsport/ofv-sieg-dank-jugend-forscht
Henkel will move up a level to a team moving down a level. He took Bryan Gaul's "Yankplatze," which is a word I just made up, at Bahlinger SC. http://www.bahlingersc.de/bahlinger-sc-verpflichtet-piakai-henkel/
@bungadiri @Friedel'sAccent This gent needs to move to the YA Academy until he gets some additional seasoning.
I checked on the Nürnberg DFB Pokal lineup to see if Tillman made it, but stumbled across Piakai Henkel, who is back with SV Linx and starting for them at LM. Per FuPa, he rejoined Linx last season and scored 9 goals in 22 games. The club won promotion from the Verbandsliga Südbaden to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg (fifth tier).
Was subbed out in second half stoppage time as SV Linx fell 2-1. @TheFalseNine Piakai Henkel at SV Linx
The team has gone with a rather distinctive portraiture style on its site. Worth a look if you believe there's more to life than "arms folded." https://svlinx.de/team
Now with FC Rheingold Lichtenau in the Bezirksliga Baden-Baden, which is the 8th tier of German football.
