Anybody else pick-up on Ernst mentioning that he's already in "negotiations"? That would seemingly bode well...
I'm already a bigger fan of Tanner than I ever was of Earnie. Doesn't bullshit, operates transparently, seems to understand how the media works. Probably wouldn't hire Berhalter to the national team.
Well what? Well water. (Sorry, that was a game I used to play with my daughter when she was little.) So no Mario Balotelli or Mario Batali-- who too be fair looks like he's lost a step or 12 anyway...Must be the Polish guy they signed last season for no apparent reason.
24 y/o Brazilian striker Sergi Santos says he is coming to Philly. Apparently we beat out Necaxa for him.
He looks like more of a winger than a striker, although he's definitely built bigger than Fafa is. Do we really need someone throwing darts at Brenden Aaronsen?
Having him throw darts at Haris wouldn't be such a bad thing...it might actually get him to move on defense rather than standing in one spot one pointing where everyone else should be. Ernst has already said he sees Fafa more as a striker than a wide player, so maybe these are traits he wants in strikers.
Report- @MLS new comers @fccincinnati set to sign #Ghana striker @iamdavidaccam from @PhilaUnion pic.twitter.com/ZjwawZCJWR— SPORTSworldGhana.com (@sportworldghana) December 6, 2018
That would be great....................though I'm taking that report with a huge grain of salt..........
annnnnnnnnd Sapong: Philadelphia Union set to trade Ghanaian-born American forward C.J Sarpong to FC Cincinnati https://t.co/fIrGZgrkWG pic.twitter.com/0IVrImnGLD— Ghanasoccernet.com (@Ghanasoccernet) December 6, 2018
Hahahaha ... SARPONG!!! C.J Sarpong, a Ghanaian-born American forward scored four goals in 33 appearances for Union last season. True to his word, Ernst did say he wasn't high on neither Accam nor Sapong.
Don’t Cincy have Bone and McLaughlin too? Not sure building off Union players is a way to put together a winning team.
Or they end up having a blockbuster season, further indicting our entire organization from the top down.
Given that FCC already has Adi, not sure how much weight I'd put into these rumors. However, they do have the allocation money and if they could convince the Union to pick up some of the remaknjng salary, reclamation projects may work for them. Especially since it's clear they're not able to follow Atlanta's model.
Another player rumored to be coming. Panamanian u20 attacker Saed Díaz is headed to Philadelphia to play for the Union.. Díaz is 19 and is coming from @TauroFC in Panama. Tauro eliminated FCD from the CCL last season, so he is coming from a competitive team. Union getting a lot of work done early. #DOOP #MLS pic.twitter.com/dfU8R3ofdK— MLS Buzz (@MLS_Buzz) December 7, 2018
