Yes but James was better .. in that one game he showed more quAlity and end product than Isco in 4 games.

No he didn't and neither did anyone from that list you had apart from Mbappe who is a striker (and also had basically one good game).

Not sure what you are watching, because Isco was one of the best players in the tournament.

Isco lacks end product and that was demonstrated in this WC. Only 1 goal scored and 0 assists playing in a free role.
All the other players I mentioned made a bigger contribution.

Isco never convinced me at Madrid. All he does is dribble and lose the ball. There are better 10s than him.

Maybe you should watch games then instead of just looking at the statsheet.

I did . And If you read my posts I said Isco was the best Spaniard after those games but I rate others higher for having a bigger impact.

Haha.. dont take it too personally.. :)
To me those two assists from James were better than Isco’s take ons and one goal..James is less flashy but more direct and effective . If Isco had those qualities perhaps Spain would have advanced since Costa is one of the best target forwards in the world.
Isco is very good in other areas but his vision is not world class.
The better #10s are Kdb, James and Coutihno..

We are betting wrong if we are going to rely on Isco's end product. He is 26 allready and lets face it , he hasn't done much so far.
If he is truly that good , why isn t he playing all the time? If he started he got subbed around the 60-70th minute because he was just not good enough at times.
Maybe he should take over another role at midfield but that also means he has to work a lot harder. A lot.
He is one of the most beautyful players atm now . But as a 10 for me he is not good enough. Eriksen , Dybala and James are better. And KDB is the best there is.

Because he does more work off the ball than anyone not named Modric or Casemiro.

I mean sure, you can also argue that the rain is actually going up from bodies of water to the sky rather than the other way around.

You are running away from you own claim and discussing something else now. The question isnt whether James is a better player than Isco. Your claim was James had a better WC than Isco which is beyond ludicrous.

That was your claim.. I said James in one game showed more than Isco in 4 games.

Gosh. You can run away from it and pretend like you didn’t say it or mean it all you want. It’s cool man.

    9Qui said this
“ We've had the opportunity to see pretty much all alternatives up close during the WC and no one has really made a case for themselves.”

To which I replied plenty of players have and provided the list .

This having a better world cup thing is something you made up.

Isco is involved with everything, key defensive tackles, assist and goals. He has things he can improve for sure but he works very hard and contributes a key movements. Very happy for his goal today.

Isco is one of the best players in the world. Nobody stabilizes and directs a team offensively like he does. People don't see the little things, just as they didn't for Benzema back in the day.
