After playing PES again today, is dont see how you can defend the AI of your teammates in the game.

I do it all the time and I see others do it as well.

    BTW -
    Do you have FIFA09?
Everytime you're on XBL you're playing PES, but I never see you play FIFA09.

i dont think its possible in ps2, as ps2 would have nowhere to store the data. The ps2 memory card would become full with like two three songs.

One thing that PES has edge on FIFA is the editability. You can complain about lack of licenses, but u now can get option files completed with chants, logos, and leagues.

PES is for hard-core players. for those that just want to enjoy the games for couple months, FIFA wouldnt be a bad choice i guess. But if you want to analyze your friend's new master league team and come up with a new formation, with extra defensive midfielders that stand 1 yard closer to goal than usual, super offensive wing backs that like to go central, man-mark their best striker while utilizing offside traps, PES is the game you want to play. I admit i havent played FIFA in a while, but heard from friends you couldnt do the above in FIFA.

On the other hand, if u jsut want to plug and play without changing any formation, FIFA wouldnt be bad either.

lol at tesos superficial computer game 'knowledge' ie opinions

i thought fifa 09 was pretty crap as is pes 09

neither, especially pes, provide any kind of comparrison to the old pes games on release that actually, u know had a modern ganme engines and were revolutionary

fifas 'realism' is slow players and terrible offense apart from easy scoring

pes = glitchy gameplay, cutback goal bullshit and terrible keepers

08 had probably a worse framerate than sonic 1 on the master system

now is not a good time for football games

I agree, I'm not even slightly excited with the new releases.

I played the demo of Pro Evo and the passing was ridiculously unrealistic. Of course I won't be buying any more games in this franchise after wasting my money on Pro Evo 2008, which was a complete abomination and unplayable online.

I have both but once PES came out I have mainly being playing that online. I did try to go back to FIFA during the week but it is incredibly frustrating going straight from PES to FIFA.

Play the game awhile with all controller settings set to "manual." Whole different game.

    amen.
More realistic, frustrating, and engaging...just like the real thing.

Mel...I see you on all the time, but never when I'm playing FIFA. Still got to get a match together at some point.

If you go to amazon.com and click on today's deals at the top of the page, they have a discount on PES 2009 for ps3. The deal runs until they run out and it appears that they have already sold 33% of what they have.

I wasn't planning on buying the game anytime soon but for 29.98 and free shipping...I'll take it.
You have to go through the route I wrote above because if you just search the game they dont give you the discount.
