I feel like the score line flatters Spurs a bit much. If United capitalized on their opportunities we'd be having a different discussion. To tell you the truth, United impressed me with some of their play particularly in the first half. However, playing Herrrerrrra as a back 3 defender or whatever he was doing was always going to back fire. Poor decision on Jose's part. The issue with Jose is that he hasn't adjusted to the new generation of players. He only knows how to manage destroyer type players. The flossy kids that grew up playing FIFA and work on their goal celebrations become quickly ousted. They don't respond to technics such as managing through fear. Until he realizes that, these results are going to become much more common for him.
Don't worry mate, if you were a koppite we would do an online crowd source thingy and get you all the appropriate medicine and rehabilitation. Scouserness can be a devastating illness not just for the individual, but also for their familes and the community at large.
Yeah, will agree to disagree. Also, he didn't seem to have the same problem at Juve where the players loved him. Future will tell as I am sure he will land at a big club soon.
It's an ego fueled business. When the egos are aligned you can do great things but when there is a clash, the reality is it's easier to part ways with a manager than multiple first team players.
Some of these new managers just come across as such a bunch of bloody prima donnas, tbh. JM was ALWAYS a bit like that but it seems to be the trend. Klopp doesn't seem too bad, (although he seems a it of a nutter but that's OK), but fellas like Conte and JM are totally round the twist from what I can tell. I quite like the sperz guy, tbh. He also seems willing to give the youngsters a shout which is good.
I like him because he’s never won anything-I hope he stays at Spurs 20 years. He’s gotta be livid at his agent, however, after signing his extension less than 24 hours before Zidane quit Madrid.
Contracts don't really mean anything. If the buying club wants a player/manager bad enough, they'll negotiate and pay for it. See: Chelsea Football Club.
Courtois debuts for Real today at home against Leganes. Picks the ball out of his net after less than 30 mins from a penalty.
To be honest with you I've always thought that Courtois is a good keeper but nowhere near 'the best'.
Burnley were outperforming their numbers for WAY too long. the team was never quite as good as people thought. but it does seem like all their statistical karma is catching up rather quickly. obviously stats aren't everything, but even the eye test says burnley shouldn't have finished as high as they did.
They probably overachieved a bit, but this season may show how valuable at top goalkeeper is to a team as well, Pope was worth several points to them
Wolves coming up with a big tie against United. They are by and far the best team I've seen come up from the championship.
Talking of Jose, Supah is taking them all the way at Old Trafford. 1-1 with 20 mins to go and Utd down to 10 after keeps handled the ball outside of the area. C'mon Derby!
