I remember the time when we were in pole position to sign Aguero. He is still the best after all these years.
Great little read on Jose at Spurs and what most of us saw but Levy somehow didn't. https://www.espn.com/soccer/english...ut-welcome-at-spurs-saints-achieve-redemption
1. We were put off by the price tag (40m) 2. John Terry was not impressed with his movement, or so he told the powers that be.
Spurs sign Gedson Fernandes on 18-month loan. 21 year old midfielder from Benfica. I didn't think 18 month loans were sanctioned by the FA, so this may be an unofficial number even though it was announced by the club. Option to buy, but of course.
I recall it not being a transfer fee issue but a wages one; he wanted £250k/week and it would have blown up our structure. Never heard #2.
Despite everything and the recent results, we're in a ideal situation to rebuild. Oh, and we have more points than United or Spurs.
We should be 11 points clear....well, ok, at least 8. Can't believe we actually gained a point on United.
I was thinking Wolves might make a move and close the gap to 3 but thankfully we’re not the only team with a tough schedule. Wolves have Pool, United, Leicester.
We gained more points than United or Spurs in the last four games. Strange. But honestly, despite losing one of the best forwards in a generation, a transfer ban, we’re ok. Just need to stop conceding goals damn it.
Wolves are a really good side. I think they have a good chance of taking 4th if we don't shape up. Adama seems like a handful every time I have seen him play.
he seems to be slowly putting it together. he's always been a handful, you could just rely on him to mess things up at the end, not so much now, and he's still young enough to improve.
Christian Erikson to Inter is a done deal. Spurs reach deal with PSV for Steve Bergwijn, 22 year old winger. Not sure who will fill the Erikson role at Spurs. Bergwijn is definitely a high potential signing.
When Jose takes over a team, other teams must start salivating over the idea of the quality, play-making studs he’s willing to surplus.
I know they played Liverpool last night, but West Ham look so bad. Boring, generic players. A boring, generic stadium. Furious fan base. No identity. Currently in a 3-way tie for bottom 3.
