Dortmund plays a typical for Doll "Skinny Diamond" without flankers, but with fullbacks pinching in and providing crosses. Dortmund also has quite a bit of size to throw into the box with Klimowitz at 6'3" and Brzenska at 6'5". Morais's, who can also play centrally, got about 3" of height on Pearce, so that could have been a reason for the game roster. It almost worked out too.
