My best record I think was 12.2, unless my memory is tricking me.

Yeah I'm thinking, 12 seconds isn't particularly impressive and more faster Korean strikers should able to break 12 seconds (I know it's not a short burst of speed like that other poster said) but what do I know. My memory is playing a big trick on me right now.

13s is probably what an average healthy person should aim to get. More sporty person (plays weekly amateur or something), probably mid-12s. Then, going down 0.05s is a very hard task. Never managed below 12.5s myself.

You must be/have been pretty athletic then.

11.01 sec? Did that guy go into sports for profession? And 13.00 is just like your avatar :D.

Nah not really, I was a back-up defender in a HS soccer team (zero endurance) and my track team had a lot of black guys who ran in the 11s, so I didn't exactly view myself athletic during those years.

the new PCY - Watford thread is open, this current thread is no longer useful. Might as well talk non-sense on it.

I dunno about the UK, but in certain parts of the US (e.g. California) high school kids running sub-11s times in the 100m (yes, electronic timing) is pretty commonplace...the California state meet winning time was 10.33 this year. My high school track coach (an Asian guy) ran like a 10.7 in high school and is now a schoolteacher.

The records are posted on a wall in my hs (medium sized public school in central ohio)
And did you not have track meets in high school

Do you not have Sports day in the US? In the UK, every year, you'd have a sports day with track& field events for the whole school where you get timed as well.

You'd never imagine seeing those numbers here unless you go to a sport-intense school. My school's record (incl. teachers) was 11.6s.

    Like an honours board? Nice.

Just unfollow this thread. Nothing new's going to come up here. Mods will close it some time.

Can't believe we got to 53 pages of pure rumors and trolling, with only one actual move that no one knew about until it happened.
