Right now the starter is Zagadou. Technically PJH is still eligible to play in the league and Pokal, but he is something like 4th or 5th string left back atm.

The embarrassment of being 30 years old and playing in the reserves cannot be masked with exercise and money though, lol.

The best scenario would be if PJH finds his form just in time for the WC. He can replace the useless Jung Woo Young as our backup CDM!

If he becomes match fit, maybe we should immediately consider him as starting left back for KNT? I rate him higher than Kim Jin Su

Depends on how match fit. I doubt he can reach KJS/KMW level that fast after 2 years of bench rotting or amateur level (he's even struggling to play for BVB2). And even if he does, I think 1. KJS has a high standing under STY and 2. we need him more as a CDM.

Edit: in addition to that, I think people are underestimating Kim Jin Su because of his mental weakness. Against Colombia he was completely different, because he looked confident compared to the previous games.
In the K-League he has not only been the best LB but also best FB last season. If he can handle his mentality, I think he will be our no.1 LB. And Kim Min Woo is almost equally good, but less good in defending. So PJH needs not only to find match fitness but also become really good to surpass any of them. Just because he was great during his Mainz days, doesn't mean that he still has got the class.

KJS is an accident waiting to happen regardless of his form.

PJH has been struggling for fitness, with knee and shoulder injuries this fall. Not helping him at all.

I wonder how his wife feels about living in Korea now. They've lived in Europe all this time right?

And as aeh said, maybe we can try him as CDM freeing up KSY to roam forward. I think it was Stieleke that tried it first at the AC with some success, would be funny if the old bastard actually gave us a parting gift.

It needs a miracle for PJH to become a starter for the WC. However, we really could use him because of his experience, versatility and leadership, so I hope he really fights back into form.

Didn't someone on here post her ig? Wonder if she's been updating..

I would take him even out of form as a veteran leader/emergency backup since he can cover multiple positions. I mean we had space for AJH in 2010 wtf..should have let SHM tag along instead.

I have already said it. We are in need of a great starting / backup DM. And PJH can play that. If he really finds a club in the winter, he should get his chance asap. And I am confident if KJS and KBK got back to their forms in the K League, it will be no problem for PJH as well.
