Man, who'd ever thought that we'd have two KPA's joining Lee Young-Pyo's two former clubs in Tottenham and BvB within a quick snap of a finger? I am really excited and looking forward to this season.

Perfect timing to post this up:

Both as a back-up LB too. Hope he fares better than Lee.

Mainz sends him off warmly with Heidel complimenting on PJHs service. The Mainz Korean SNS guy must be getting nervous tho

Good to see PJH leave in the right way. This is in stark contrast to SHM's dad could have handled SHM's departure in a more amicable manner.

Kagawa remembers playing against him in the J2 league back when Park Joo-ho was playing for Mito Hollyhock.

I think Park's departure was always going to be amicable. After Tuchel left, Mainz were resigned to losing Tuchel's disciples, Park and Okazaki. Also, Mainz is a selling club. Leverkusen, less so, and with Son still being such a young player, it was always going to cause rifts.

I think they had worked through their acrimony in spring during option exercise / contract negotiations. I suspect the writing was already on the wall re: PJH leaving

Still feel a bit bad for Lee during his time at Dortmund. He had a good start of the season, but as soon as Dede came back from his cruciate ligament injury in the second half of the season, he was dropped straight away, and didn't feature another minute.

Really proud of PJH. Went from that forgotten KPA in Switzerland to now an NT regular, military exemptee, and Dortmund player.

Wouldn't say he was a forgotten KPA. It's not as if he suddenly became good. FC Basel is a big blub in its own rights, much bigger than Bolton, Cardiff, or botton Bundesliga teams.

I've always liked Dortmund, and now I'm ecstatic that another KPA is there.

This summer is turning out to be a very good one for us.

I remember we used to joke about how Tuchel was going to go to BVB and then take PJH with him. This was back when there were just rumors floating around that pep was leaving.

I think this is what's tempering my expectations. Dortmund during summer looked as if PJH would have been an ideal fit given their lack of LBs, PJHs relationship with Tuchel, and PJHs demands for a higher salary but still modest enough price for Dortmund. Yet this dragged on until the final weekend of the window...

So how is his realistic playing time looking like? I don't know how strong Dortmund is at his position

There are three options for the LB position; Schmelzer, Park, and Durm. Since Schmelzer is in a great form this season, it's safe to say that Park would be an understudy for Schmelzer at BVB. But he would see some playing time given that BVB have a Europa campaign as well. As for Durm, he will be battling out with Pisczek for the RB position.

And PJH may have to play DM in some matches as well.

Their midfield is strong but they are looking to sell Blazcybdkfkowski (to hell with trying to spell it right) to Everton.

    Durm is out injured.
