No, I was making the point that all the whining going on regarding the XI not having 'first choice starters' was stupid since we knew they are all injured going into the game, except for Cameron. I guess it went over your head.

I'll spell it out for you: GIVEN OUR INJURIES, THESE ARE THE #1 GUYS AT EACH SPOT IN ARENA'S EYES. SAVE FOR REAM, THEY ARE EXACTLY THE ONES YOU SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED. TWO OF THEM STARTED LAST GAME, WHICH WAS A SHUTOUT. ALL FOUR PLAYED. VILLAFANA COULD BE THE #1 LB IF FJ IS A MF FOR ARENA.

On a different day you might see:

    FJ / Brooks / Cameron / Yedlin

    across the back.

Shambolic lineup but I'm still not worried.

What's the point of the caps? It was a shutout thanks to Brooks saving Gonzo's ass. If Bruce really feels Besler is behind Ream then that's just sad. Gonzo and Ream are both bad.

Look, I expected Besler, too. However, the fact he wasn't on the initial roster & Ream played last game should have hinted that this was possible. I expected Dempsey would rest, Pulisic at the #10, & DMB as well. However, I figured a good to go Dempsey would start & Villafana (who did just fine last game) & Pulisic wide were reasonable choices.

Zusi & Ream are perfectly reasonable choices. Quit whining so much.

why are you suddenly acting so surprised by this?

Besler was not even called into the team in the initial roster callups so it seems pretty clear that Arena may not rate him highly, whether you agree with that or not.

They are doing the anthems, so I would guess in about 5 minutes.
