Just another reason why I'm hoping Calero sticks to his pledge to retire with Orlando. No news yet on the team, but I'm working on it. Grats to Pachuca on opening up the season on a high note.

One quick update on getting the Orlando team a forum: Apart from an official announcement, we need the help of you. The more regular posters we have, the more likely we are to get a sub-forum. I'm guessing you guys are in the same boat, so let me know if you need our help.

    3 points and with a +3 goal differential. :)

Calero said in an interview before the Tigres match that he would be interested in ending his career at the new Orlando team so it's looking like a real possibility.

"Pájaro" Benítez looks to have been a steal for us! He came from a small club in Paraguay like Sol de América so I didn't know exactly what to expect from him but I'm glad to see he's turned out to be the latest successful Paraguayan striker in the MFL. Looks like we've got an outstanding goalscorer for many years to come.:)

Agreed, although group 2 also looks to be an easy group for Boca. What won't be easy however is U. de Chile, they've got Sergio Markarian as their manager and many current or former Chilean internationals like Rafael Olarra, Miguel Pinto and Manuel Iturra to name a few.

[1] DIM {H}(COL) vs Peñarol (URU)
[2] Sporting Cristal (PER) vs Estudiantes LP {H}(ARG)
[3] El Nacional {H}(ECU) vs Nacional (PAR)
[4] Deportivo Anzoátegui {H}(VEN) vs Deportivo Cuenca (ECU)
    [5] Palmeiras {H}(BRA) vs Bolivia 3
[6] Universidad de Chile {H}(CHI) vs CF Pachuca (MEX)

{H} = Home during the first match.

    Group 1
    LDU de Quito (ECU)
    Colo Colo (CHI)
    Sport Recife (BRA)
Winner [5] = Palmeiras (BRA) vs Real Potosí (BOL)

    Group 2
    Boca Juniors (ARG)
    Guaraní (PAR)
    Deportivo Táchira (VEN)
Winner [4] = Deportivo Anzoátegui (VEN) vs Deportivo Cuenca (ECU)

    Group 3
    River Plate (ARG)
    Club Nacional de Football (URU)
    San Martín (PER)
Winner [3] = El Nacional (ECU) vs Nacional (PAR)

    Group 4
    São Paulo (BRA)
    Defensor Sporting (URU)
    América de Cali (COL)
Winner [1] = DIM (COL) vs Peñarol (URU)

    Group 5
    Cruzeiro (BRA)
    Universitario de Sucre (BOL)
    Deportivo Quito (ECU)
Winner [2] = Sporting Cristal (PER) vs Estudiantes LP (ARG)

    Group 6

    Grêmio (BRA)
    Aurora (BOL)
    Boyacá Chicó (COL)
Winner [6] = Universidad de Chile (CHI) vs CF Pachuca (MEX)

    Group 8
    San Lorenzo (ARG)
    Libertad (PAR)
    Universitario (PER)
    San Luis (MEX)
