The quakes a team with 2 wins. Will the Revs make it 3? If we don't get all 3 points here, I don't know who we can beat??? A tie here is not acceptable

Good news: Revs have only been shut out 3 times this year, while they have scored more than 1 goal in 9 games.

Bad news: The Revs haven't shut out an opponent in last 7 league matches (8 including USOC).

Ugly news: The Revs were shut out in the opener, scored in 4 straight, were shut out again, scored in 4 straight, were shut out a third time. They have now scored in 4 straight again, so if that pattern continues, they are due to get shut out in SJ.

SJ has lost 4 straight league games, and 7 of their last 9. The only win in that stretch was 6 games ago in Minnesota.

...and both wins came against Minnesota.

SJE hasn't won at home since season opener (March 3rd).

If there ever was a game where they should be able to take all 3, this would be it. They had a terrible road record last year, and these are the kinds of games that they couldn't win. They would have been playoff team last year if they even got a handful of road points.

    Can we say "must win?"

Looking at the mode for each team. The Revs most frequent result is to score 2 goals (six times this year). SJE's most frequent result is 1 goal (5 times). On the goals allowed side, the mode for NE is 1 (6x) while for SJE is 2 (6x).

All this points to a 2-1 Revs win.

The Quakes are terrible this year. Three points are there for the taking. Expecting a 3-1 revs win.

In much of our recent history, these were games we would find a way to lose. A sign of our improved professionalism would be to come away with three points.

    17' 1-0 SJ

Turner throws the ball up the middle to Rowe. Defender immediately challenges Rowe, dumps him, takes the ball, passes to a cutting Hoesen for the goal.

A draw is better than a loss. So I guess that counts as progress?
