    Chicago hosting All-Star game Wednesday.

Chicago has Schweinsteiger, Nikloic, Dax, Kappelhof playing - Revs have ZERO.

Chicago are 9-0-1 at home and are 12 points in the front of the Revs.

Will Chicago still be buzzing by Saturday night or in hangover mode?

Unlike many of our recent matches, this is not a must win. Any points we can get in Chicago are gravy. Not that I'm expecting any, though....

If I were Heaps, I'd return to Agudelo and Kamara up top, and put Teal on around 65', likely for Kamara.

Does Rowe repeat at left back? Is Kouassi healthy enough to play? Does Diego bounce back from his first poor game of the season?

Well, the good news is the Revs are 2-0 in their last 2 games and have outscored their opponents 7-3!

The bad news is that both of those games were at home against crap teams who were playing on 3 days rest. The odds of the Revs 1) winning away from home 2) against a good team 3) who has the same amount of rest (even if their all-stars get some minutes midweek) are, shall we say, dubious...

This is just the kind of game and time in the season for the Revs to make a statement. I don't think they have it in them but ---if---they can get points on the road in Shitcargo against a really strong Fire side it would signal that are in fact capablele of making a late season run like they did in 2002. I don't thinknk it's going to happen but then none of us thought it possiblele that the 2002 Revs were within a Winston Griffith dread of being MLS Champs. Oh hell---Revs 2-Fire 1:thumbsup:

28 out of 30 possible points at home is impressive.

Revs are 0-7-3 (3 pts of out 30) on the road.

    Talk about your David-vs-Goliath matchup...

I predict 0-3 loss. Which is the same scoreline FIFA mandates for a forfeit game. So we might as well just save our energy and not even travel.

Which is why I'm calling for a Revs win---2-1
This team has a history of using the ones they should win and pulling off the impossibly win when the odds are stacked against them. That said--I'm not put any coin of my call---just being a contrarian.

I think this game will show if our recent success is real or not. When we're ON, were as good as anybody. Cant wait to see this game and if we're real or as somebody else said, did well against crap teams on 2 days rest. I am voting for Real. Dont let me down and everybody show up to play. I do count this as a must win. A good showing here will boost confidence that will carry forward. A blowout will convince us that we arent any good and set us back

I agree with you. It seems that whenever everyone expects them to lose, they end up pulling off a win.

It wouldn't shock me if they somehow pulled a positive result out of tonight. A tie seems a little more feasible to me - a nailbiter 1-1 draw that ends up framed as a moral victory.

I agree with someone above who said this is a must win - if the revs have any ambitions of making the playoffs.

As others have noted, the revs are winless on the road this season - it's rare they ever win in Chicago even under the best circumstances. Chicago loaded with talent, revs have no reinforcements on the horizon. That said, the revs dominated Chicago at home everywhere but the scoreline, so maybe there's a sliver of hope with Agudelo back.

Time to make a statement - are you in or out? Does the momentum continue or is it back to same old, same old? Is Chicago going to be over confident?

Heaps is coaching for his job; hopefully that urgency rubs off on the players and they stay focused and sneak out with a draw.

Unrealisticly positive prediction: 1 1. Realist says 3 0 loss.

    Starting early tonight.
Polster 1 0 after 8 minutes on a ridiculous outside of the foot shot that curled in past Cropper.

Revs looks confused early and a step slower than the Fire

Good spell from the revs but on an individual basis, Andrew Farrell is where possession goes to die.

Diego! Damn it that should have been a pk.

We haven't heard Schweini's name much tonight - it has to stay that way to have any chance at points.

2 1 Chicago as soon as Schweinsteiger's name gets mentioned, they score.

revs old friend Junihio puts the Fire back on top. after the first 15 minute it turned into a decent first 45. Revs arguably could be up a man. On the fence if Accam should have been sent off or not

Angoua sucks, Revs suck, Heaps sucks, Revs depth sucks.....thank God the Revs are deep enough to bring Watson on as an offensive sub down by 2! One second rate CB signing will not straighten this team out. Wholesale change is needed
