    The Jay Heaps deathwatch continues.

The Revs magic number for playoff elimination is 12. A loss here combined with a NYRB win would cut that number in half.

Kouassi and Delemea out due to red card suspensions.

SKC missing Roger Espinoza (yellow card accumulation).

SKC hosts the US Open Cup Final next Wednesday (9/20). Will they rest anyone?

Honestly, for the good of the franchise, I think this is a must lose. Anything else is only going to prolong the agony of the Heaps era. At this point, I would not be disappointed in a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of the Wiz. I might even be happy about it.

Yeah, I don't think they'll lose by a touchdown again, but certainly a 3-0 gubbing isn't out of the question. They need to get their asses handed to them for the second time in a week, otherwise nothing will change. They need to cut their losses on this season, have a new coach take over and at least set the tone for next year.

The alternative is to wait until the season is over, then "decline the option" on Heaps (his contract expires, so even the idiot Krafts probably won't re-up him), and then the whole off-season is wasted, no new significant transfers in, at least a couple of key players leaving and it is April before we get our first win of 2018.

Heaps needs to be fired after the KC game. But if they get a point, it won't happen.

I generally don't care for that sentiment, but I can honestly say: at this point, I don't care if they win or lose. I am starting to think about the expansion draft.

The season is done-zo, but I will still enjoy watching the team compete. Perhaps Josh Smith gets another appearance. Revs actually do have decent depth to replace Delamea and Kouassi so we can still field a strong lineup. We could start either Josh Smith or Angoua next to Dielna. Maybe we'll see another Donnie Smith appearance to try to match his season-high of 3 last season (he's at 1). And maybe Nemeth and/or Bunbury and/or Kamara score against their old team.

Revs win. Playoffs still in sight. #AirCover restored. All is well again in RevsLand.

    Could happen.

Revs are 0-11-3 on the road. Revs are 1-5-0 in last six games without Kouassi.
SKC is undefeated in 22 straight home games.

    Yeah, could happen...

The revs sometimes surprise us after a whooping but I don't think @SKC this weekend will be one of those times. They will give them a game but ultimately it will be 3 1 SKC.

I think Heaps, the master strategist, let Atlanta run up the score, just to let SKC get overconfident.

I give us zero chance of winning. My only question is what Heaps lineup will be? His last plan was a disaster... cant wait to see what he does with two less starters

One is no problem.... Caldwell will start, as he should have last time. I'm guessing Tierney is back on with possibly Farrell to the middle.

I miss it when Heaps comes up with his latest brain f@rT (like Atl) that basically makes us noncompetitive.

On one of the SiriusXM shows this past week, they had on the "Brad" equivalent of Atlanta. His first comment was that they were all surprised and confused with Heaps' lineup.

another game ruined by replay. Are we the only ones that ever get reviewed?

Another dumb ass move (elbow) followed by the foul by Benji... I fully expect that hack to get kicked out too

So was it my imagination or did Tierney get nutmegged on the KC goal?

Suzi's acting job aside, this is an undisciplined team without a leader. Heap's tantrums on the sideline are the coaching equivalent of tRump's 3 AM farts, er, tweets on his throne.

This could 4-1 already, if KC could hit the broad side of a barn.

Not that it'll matter in the outcome -- didn't Gyrso handle the ball on his goal? It looks like it goes off Knighton, off his chest and left arm and then volleyed in.

I hope Zusi gets a huge fine for his embarrassing act, looking poleaxed after Nemeth brushed his face. Yeah, it's still a red by rule, but the reaction was about 1000 times the preceding action.

Brad asks "Can the Revs bring the faith back that fans have had in them?"

I ask "which fan had faith?"

Paul just noticed that Nguyen has pulled his "give a sh!t muscle." What's Paul been watching all year?

Jay "dead man walking" Heaps coaches Revs, "dead team walking" for his last game (I hope, please, please please).
