it's too bad Koffie isn't progressing as expected. You would have thought that he would at least be up to 'questionable' by now given what was said prior to the Copa break.

Yeah. They sounded quite optimistic, what, 3 weeks ago now?

Still, not facing Nyarko and, especially Rolfe, is helpful.

This is a game we could/should win if they go in with some attitude and back it up.

I'm generally a country over club guy, but I'm watching the Revs live. Third place game is pretty much meaningless in any sport outside of the Olympics.

that was a boring-ass game and one of the worst offensive displays I can remember. Even set pieces were terrible.

How long do we give Kamara before we start Agudelo over him?

They're both destined to fail alone up top in the system we play. Kamara thrives on confidence, he needs to get a few goals to inspire more. Then again, Heaps seems to suck the confidence out of his guys which is a bigger problem with this team, but I digress.

Playing Kamara alone up top is always going to fail with the personnel around him. Heaps is too stubborn to switch formations but a 4-4-2 with Agudelo would work better. Kei is able to take defenders away, but we need someone equally dangerous to poach loose balls and rebounds from inside the 6.

What did I say about our defense last week? Yeah, I'll just repeat that.

Well that stunk. Watched the first half then switched to the NAT game. Not sure if Ill bother watching the second half today or not? I think not.

I think Heaps needs to try something different. I think id go 4-4-2 and start Juan with Kamara, Diego for Rowe or Teal. Rolling the same formation out week after week is not the answer. We still need more & better players. Teal is also in need of a seat.

That DC team was very shorthanded and we still didnt show up to play

We were very active in the final third, without ever really creating dangerous opportunities. It's really apparent that when we got Kamara, we needed to get Finlay with him. It's a bit surprising Tierney hasn't been able to find him with a few more crosses, but then Tierney was not very good at much of anything ast night.

I do agree we need another center back. I don't believe Woodberry is the answer.

Steve Ralston ain't walking through that door any time soon. Besides, he's an assistant in San Jose. Heaps' job is safe for as long as he wants it, which means he will be here longer than Nicol was.

As long as this team stays in the .500ish range Heaps has no worries. This team thrives for mediocrity.

I don't think we played all that badly, DC is very well organized and won most of all of the one on one battles in the box. We needed someone to step up and make a special play, but it never happened.

I watched the DC broadcast on MLS live and while DC may have been short handed there announcers repeated this was DC's best game of the year.

A disappointing game, but I think it's just a bump in the road.

We're currently in 8th in the East, with a MLS worse -7 GD.

If the revs miss the playoffs maybe we can put this mediocre misery under Heaps to rest and hire a real coach.

Agreed. There was a poster here who tried to argue he was one of the best LB's in MLS lol

Well, I'm generally okay with him, but in fact he had a particularly poor game here, and in fact got subbed off for it, quite unusually.
