TV: Initially, and still on lagalaxy.com, this game was said to be on FOX. This is no longer the case in both KC and L.A. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ KC has already posted this TV update: #SKCvLA will air live at 1pm CT Sunday on @FSKansasCity Plus and @FSMidwest Plus.https://t.co/EYxAMsDGFh— Sporting Kansas City (@SportingKC) September 22, 2017 Just checked my channel guide and it looks like it will air on KCOP 13 here in L.A.... ...if you can stand to watch...
I think our loss upcoming Sunday will be smaller than in last 2 games. SKC might rest their starters after Open Cup victory, so 0:2, 1:3, or even 1:2 (Zardes might sneak in late consolation goal after SKC stops playing).
Oh, good, another game!!! This might be a tough one to find on my TV options, but if I can I'll be there.
A loss, and I believe any result by RSL, Houston or FCD and we are officially, mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. We've been cooked for awhile, but I'd been hoping to see some glimmer of brighter days ahead. to the contrary, we sink lower and lower every week. these last five games are going to be torture for everyone (except our opponents) involved. It looks like no one on the team wants to be out there, and I'm sure the coaching staff wants it to end too so they can start cutting dead weight and start over. We can only hope the FO sees some significant changes upcoming since their incompetence has built this monument to ineptitude called the 2017 Galaxy.
My TV guide app says this will be on channel 13.1 on the antennae at 11am. If this is holds up, I'll be watching because I'm a masochistic fan.
A little over 24 hours til this match and I'm waking up early again on a Saturday for work and nothing(except my Raiders, maybe the Dodgers if they can actually win it this year) seems to be enjoyable. I browsed reddit before heading out of the house and came upon a couple things that gave me a good laugh. Maybe we need a comic relief thread but, I thought I'd share since it's kinda relevant to our current situation especially. "When he took his girlfriend to the game": For some context: It is a fan of a polish football club Cracovia, after the match that they lost 3:0 thus eliminating the club from the Polish Cup Also
Zero player from the first team played with Los Dos yesterday. It's surprising, it could mean we'll see the likes of BJ4, McBean, Lassiter, Mendiola or Villarreal today.
Gyasi starts at RB. Sure, a few practices and any player can learn how to be an MLS calibre RB. <sigh>
It seems crazy but I want to lose the remaining games (by large margins if possible ) not because I enjoy it but at this point anything that can either wake up the FO or drive one final nail in Klein or Vagenas coffin is a welcome result. There is no belief or pride on this squad and it should be their scarlet letter of shame forever.
The Winning XI: Clement Diop; Gyasi Zardes, Dave Romney, Michael Ciani, Ashley Cole; Jonathan dos Santos, João Pedro; Romain Alessandrini, Bradford Jamieson IV, Emmanuel Boateng; Giovani dos Santos ©.
Still don't think we'll win but, I'm very interested to see how this formation does. Ema up top should be exciting. Why Diop? edit: TV lineup has Gio up top
I'm going to withhold judgment on the Zardes experiment, but we need to remember Chris Albright who started at forward and then moved wide and then to right back. It saved his career and I think he even got a little national team interest. In a slightly better league, Zardes would be a valuable player on the bench, able to cover both forward and wide midfield, but our reality is that a player of that quality needs to be on the field. I think I would have swapped Boateng and Jamieson. Boateng is a decent enough defender and Jamieson isn't that great at getting back.
It's also kinda insult to injury that Landon is calling this game. LOL. You and I with the same thought.
Yep I mean if Atlanta shredded us with true defenders let's see what SKC does with make shift defending.
Giants/ Eagles on my local Fox channel. Blacked out on Directv for KC's local broadcast. Guess the forces that be don't want me to see this. And once again, MLS gets the US sports red haired stepchild treatment.
Anyone who can't stand KCOP commentary FoxDeportes has it, will it really make a difference if you can't understand it? The football will still be the same and we suck in any language!
Horrible tackle from JDS. And a yellow card to start. What else is new? EDIT: Could easily have been a red.
