An early 4pm, Wednesday kickoff, Atlanta will break the attendance record we set in our opening match in '96, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Do we have a sub-.500 win/loss record against any team? If not, we will now... but, hey players are "playing for their jobs" so at least that will be interesting to watch.

Some people have dubbed Mercedez-Benz Stadium "Megatron's butthole"... and we may stink up the place.

I'll be at work til 5 so I'll watch on my phone until I can speed home to catch most of the 2nd half on tv. As I said elsewhere, I must be a glutton for punishment.

No way will I watch this on tv - too painful. It makes me angry. Honestly the main reason I went to the Toronto game was to have fun with friends and family.

I'll likely watch just because, but i think it'll help going into the game resigned to the fact that the team will get embarassed badly. A good way to think of this match is to think of it as one of those mid-season friendly games with those overseas superclubs.

At least Alessandrini will be back - he's a fun player to watch.

We are gonna get soundly and thoroughly embarrassed, we are going to get a lesson in "how to get your arse kicked by superior coaching" courtesy of TaTa Martino oh yeah almost forgot his squad is playing the football we can't even have wet dream about right now. I can't even say anything bad about their club because they have begun their quest almost perfectly. From the bottom to the top everything looks like what a proper football club should be doing in the new MLS era. I refuse to watch us get slaughtered it will only get my blood pressure high .

The way this season has gone I'm betting Alessandrini tears his ACL on the turf

I'll be there in the First row around the 35 yard line! Got my ticket way back in May when we still looked somewhat like a professional soccer team. I figure to score numerous free pity drinks from ATL fans at least and check out the new stadium!

Good point. With Steres out and Diallo leaving the last game with an injury, I guess we're down to Ciani, Romney, and Arellano at center back. You need all three in a 3 man back-line. If we play a four man back line, then I suppose you have Cole, Romney, Ciani, and perhaps Nathan Smith. I think Diop is faster than every one of those players.

I think Romney and Ciani at cb will be an upgrade over Steres and Ciani. Cole will be fine at left back. But gulp.... Nathan Smith? Ouch.

I'm not sure the 3 man back line is a good idea with Ciani new to the team and error prone (from what I've heard and seen). He needs Romney next to him for support.

Up front we will be a better team with Alessandrini back and Atlanta's defense is their weakness. It could be a score fest.

Depending on the severity of the beatdown and/or lack of offense from us in Atlanta, maybe Sigi is so moved as to try Zardes at RB since he was being played there in practice recently. Maybe try BJIV up top?

Zardes is our hottest forward and has combined twice with Alessandrini in the last 2 games both were available to score goals. So, yeah, let's definitely move him to RB for this game based on the outcome a match where the US got completely outplayed in a totally new formation that only had 3 true attacking players in it (one of whom was totally invisible).

"Depending on the severity of the beatdown and/or lack of offense from us in Atlanta" - I meant for the following game, unless you're fine with Smith?

Lets hope we can use other positives concerning Zardes besides "our hottest forward" cause that isn't saying much.
