End of an era, but it was coming anyway.

At one point, top 5 defender in the game. Never had the greatest pace but it was obvious how crucial he was to organizing the back.

First Lampard and now Terry. Both those guys were our talismans.

Will hate to see him in another uniform, but he's still got more in the tank...just maybe not at the top of the Premier League. Weather wise, Seattle would be an easy adjustment. Just sayin.

A Chelsea legend, albeit one whose career will always be marred by on and off the field incidents.

Time will pass sooner or later on most of them. Biggest one will be the kit thing in the CL final I think.

Really? I still see jokes about it elsewhere.

I just ran through a list of things that Terry has some part of, and man, it is long.

More and more likely Terry will retire. I can't say it's the right choice, because it's fully up to him. But for me, he's out of gas. Yeah, he can hack it in China or in the Middle East and collect the paycheck but why does he need to. He's got the life right now and on the fast track to manager West Ham and quickly get the sack.

He would not be able to handle MLS for a variety of reasons. Travel for one, and the physicality is too much game in, game out. Plus, MLS clubs are not as quick to hand out big money to retired players anymore. Gerrard and Lampard were failures there.

once Lamps got over his injury he completely reversed the fans attitude toward him. probably debatable where his stint falls there but i certainly don't see it as a failure by any stretch.

i agree thought that i don't think MLS will really be a good place for Terry. what the league lacks in technique it makes up for in speed and chaotic play that would catch Terry out too often i think.

Yeah, I dont want to steer this into a Lampard discussion, but for a $6m salary he did nothing for the team or league. NYCFC is a dumpster fire anyway. I mean, ******** this shit:
