WOWOWOW!! What a great night for the Quakes. If we win our two home games and draw at Portland, we're pretty much locked in. Both Dallas and Portland would have to win 3 of 3 to pass us. Meanwhile Seattle would still need a victory at DC or home against the dangerous Loons to pass us.
I was forced to take the MLS "re-education" class by @ATLUTD before I was allowed reinstatement of my ticket privileges, so I recorded the entire class and posted it in this google drive (in both .webm and .mp4 format): https://t.co/CCFqOtAgyF #AUnitedFront— Name cannot be blank (@bradysbuzz) September 17, 2019
These ISC clowns think they are better censors than the league and can write an anti-hate policy for MLS. This one would allow the fat shaming. Doubt that was their intention. Supporter groups from NWSL have come together and created and signed off on a new Code of Conduct. We will be pushing this to the league while they enforce themselves across the nation. #NWSLSGs pic.twitter.com/9QXbx39NWv— ISC North America (@ISCSupporters) September 11, 2019
I was flipping between por/rbny and sea/dal and the former was the far more exciting game. Portlands defense looks bad but their offense is dangerous. RB's looked really good. Sea and Dal both looked slow and uninterested. I didn't see the passion from dallas I expected considering they are fighting for the playoffs. Based on that, my prediction is that Dallas should and will be eliminated from post-season.
Except for Jordan Morris, Seattle has looked that way for years, and yet they're always in a playoff position.
I'll bet family linage can be attacked. (e. g. "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries")
3 years ago when I was buying Quakes season tickets someone told me the Quakes are the best deal in professional sports in the Bay Area. That might have been true at the time but right now A's games are really cheap. Especially if you know someone with an A's access pass (which my friend has because he bought a 10 game pass for next year). $10 parking, 50% off all concessions, and the $30 tickets we bought (discounted price) came with $10 to spend on concessions (for each ticket). I got a brat, drink, bag of peanuts, watched the game (which went into extra innings), and parked in a paved lot, all for $35 (includes a little bit of gas money and my share of the parking).
Forgot to mention - it was canha T-shirt day too - and he made the hit to score the game winning run in the bottom of the 11th. Don’t tell me MLB isn’t scripted. [emoji6]
I wish the Quakes would lower parking prices to promote more tailgating. Maybe if they offered free parking to any vehicle that enters with a grill four hours before game time?
Totally agree. I had both games on one big ESPN+ screen, and I opted for the POR-RBNY audio, which had Shep Messing. I wouldn’t count on the Quakes getting a point in POR. Never have and never will, I’m afraid. I don’t know how RBNY survived. No, I do know. RBNY worked their butts off the entire game. Some of their guys collapsed at the end. I haven’t seen the Quakes work quite that hard over an entire game yet.
