It was a meaningless friendly for them. They were playing a team that didn't qualify.

They peppered our goal and conceded on a flukey exchange. Credit to Green for capitalizing. Nobody else should feel a hint of accomplishment for not being embarrassed by France.

Its not like France wasn't trying when they beat Italy 3-1 and the USA also had nothing at stake. Many of those French players are superstars while the Americans are a bunch of no name scrubs. They probably can't ever even play in the Serie C. Griezman vs. Weston McKennie or Paul Pogba vs. Will Trapp?

No one knows the Americans but the French are household names there is no comparison....

    Paul Pogba is so overrated.

There, I said it, crucify me.

He was a passenger on those Juve teams and when he got his chance to lead at United his true colors shown through.

All fart and no shite, that guy.

If they win the WC and he's the protagonist I will payout a C-note to anyone willing to match me.

Oh yeah and bank it, bitches.

So who are your World Cup Dark horses? Just started looking at the groups in detail today and I fancy Poland as a decent shot. If they can get past Belgium or England (both are possible) and the draw favours them they can potentially have a decent path to the final 4.

As a team I like how they're built for tournaments. Not all the fancy but solid experienced players and of course are lead by one of the best strikers in the world. They showed well at the Euros and are in solid form ranked 8 in the world.

Pogba played very well at Juve but I don’t think he is made for the EPL.

He was fine because he carried Pirlo's water. He was never the focal point.

As far as who will win, I’m kind of sick of seeing Brazil and Germany. I’m not a huge English league fan but I’d like to see England do something for a change.

Also , I wouldn’t mind seeing Russia pull off a 2002 South Korean fourth place finish as the home nation. The odds are probably against them but that would be cool to see.

They are still commies? I thought the party dissolved in 1992. I work for a Russian Internet company in Silicon Valley. The Russians love to party as they come from a Party Nation!

In fairness I would like to see it too but only because I had the unfortunate luck of drawing them tonight in the pool at my local.

Uruguay are my dark horse this summer. I think Suarez-Cavani alone could carry them pretty deep. Their group is also very winnable.

Joe's team cheated. Ask Jerry Rice.

Joe & Jerry both cheated on their wives. So did coach Bill Walsh. It was the 80's!

I haven’t been following the qualifiers or friendlies because I’m not that into international football. But , I just took a look at the rosters and Croatia’s midfield stood out. It’s pretty filthy.

I’m not sure if they qualify as a dark horses, though.

Portugal looks fairly good on paper as well. Although, I’m not sure I could bear it if Cristiano got a World Cup.

Serbia and Uruguay look like they could be plucky as well.

Yes Uruguay for similar reasons to Poland and of course that strike force. I've seen good things written about Peru. They could be the surprise package and Guerrero has been cleared to play after the drug ban got lifted.

I really think England has a chance to finally do something. They should win their group easily and I really like Marcus Rashford.

Not really but I like Rashford and Vardy. When you look at that group, Panama eliminated the USA and I hope England beats the stuffing out of them. Also, I can't stand Belgium's manager Roberto Martinez.

You like Vardy? I would’ve never guessed that if I’m honest.

I like Rashford a lot as well. I’m afraid he might be getting Mourinho’d , though.

Big fan of John Stones as well , but he kinda tailed off in the second half of the season. He’s nothing like a typical English CB.
