Yeah the LAndy award is sad. It’s not half as cheesy as how Don Garber renamed from Alan I. Rothenberg Trophy to the new Philip F. Anschutz award... The MVP looks good though.... https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=22&v=ScMVfnzxMEI
"All"? It's not as if we are talking Iturbe here. Besides, his shortcomings come from the fact he's 18.
It was a shot at the Pulisic thread here. Just wander in there and see whose fault it is whenever he misplaces a pass or doesn't get a start.
ahhh.. sorry I didn't read all of those. The kid is pretty damn good. Honestly, I can probably count on 1 hand players under 20 that are better than him right now. Also, not many have the pressure he does because those few players his age that are as good don't have the weight of the entire NT on their shoulders. All of France's hopes aren't on the shoulders of Mbappe.
There are expectations. They may not be realistic expectations considering the naivety of our fan-base but make no mistake there are expectations.
"do well" is relative. If your Spain, "do well" is make the quarterfinal. If you're Australia "do well" is make the WC. That said there are still expectations and all the press, fans and players are looking to him to be their best player. If you are playing for Italy, France, Ghana, Costa Rica or US that's still a lot of pressure.
James just baited Verratti into a challenge everyone could see a mile away. The little French guy is such a dumbass sometimes.
I’m sure it helps to have a name like Klinsmann but he is the only American player I know who went from an average college team to starting and playing well in European competition in just 12 months time. Saving a pk in your debut is tops in any league on earth!
Ronaldo and Messi have now won ballon d'ors for 10 straight years. Kaka being the last one in 2007. Insane to think that one of them probably would have won it for a decade straight if the other didn't exist.
You know, not only are they getting old but so is the subject line.. sad that there are no other players on earth that have emerged....
Chelsea just lost 1-0 to West Ham lol Spurs destroyed Stoke 5-1... The EPL is really unpredictable this season for anyone except City who have been going like a machine. Really tough to see someone challenging them. but, Man U vs Man City tomorrow will prove decisive. A win for Man U will reduce the gap to 5 pts, A draw will keep the gap to 8 pts, A loss for Man U will extend the gap to 11 pts and its pretty much season over at this point.
