Wolfsburg are on their way to beat Frankfurt who were running hot after a bad start. I considered Frankfurt just as dangerous as Gladbach for our chances. On the 17th matchday, they'll face Bayern and we play against Gladbach. That matchday might tell us a lot what we can expect.
Agreed Hava - we are in a good spot but not home yet Fivethirtyeight still predicting Bayern with a 46 percent to win the league versus our 45 percent One game at a time
Fivethirtyeight analyzes based on absolutely nothing other than gut feeling. I would rather go with something that is actually based the current crop of players coupled with performance so far and subsequent expectancy over the remaining no. of games. So if I go with say goalimpact, we are already front-runners to win the title. Yes Bayern can still win the title but as long as Kovac is on the bench, we still have hope.
Hey well Neven St. Etienne defender Neven Subotic has been taken to hospital after a clash left him unconscious.Get well soon 🙏 pic.twitter.com/CvwKa0AcOq— B/R Football (@brfootball) December 5, 2018
So Bayern will pay €85 to get Lucas Hernandez?!? The future of Atleticos defence? This is hard to believe. Atletico are established whereas Bayern are rebuilding. Unless Cholo is leaving.
Werner concerning his already offered extension of his contract that expires in 2020: There is only one other club in Germany he could join. It's Bayern, of course. So as long as Bayern is willing, every discussion about him here is pretty much a wasted effort. I don't think he's ready yet to replace Lewandowski and I also don't see his strength as the only striker. His finishing can be suspect at times, especially in situations when he can't attack with pace. But I think he could have worked for us behind/next to Alcacer or kind of on the wings closer to the center.
Not many coaches get fired when they end with a 4-1-1 record in the league. But Herrlich also got bailed got in a major way by Bailey last season and Havertz this season. Interestingy, Bayer were interested in Bosz last year as well. Who knows whether that might have saved us from that disappointing season.
Yes they have been excellent, arguably the best team in the country at the moment. It's going to be an extremely tough game. They are probably the favourites.
And then that changed. They looked pretty mediocre at Wolves. Of course every team lays an egg, but really, talking about form five weeks in advance seems a bit premature.
No it hasn't really changed. It was one game, just like Dusseldorf, was one game. I actually thought Tottenham would have a terrible start to the season. No team in the world had more players go deep in the world cup, than they did. They managed to get points, without playing well and now it seems their players are coming into form. What goes massively in our favour is they are going to have so many tough matches before they play us. They will have an emotionally and physically draining semi-final against and many other tough matches against the top 6.
Liverpools unbeaten run is over. I still hope they win the league instead of that team from Abu Dhabi.
