I think there’s like an 85% chance the tournament will be won by one of Spain, Germany, France or Brazil with the rest of the field basically having a 15% chance. With that said, this my ranking for contenders going in- Spain/Germany France/Brazil Belgium/Argentina/Portugal/Croatia Poland/Colombia/England/Uruguay/Switzerland Denmark Morocco/Peru/Mexico/Egypt Serbia/Nigeria/Senegal/Iran/Iceland/Costa Rica Australia/Russia/South Korea/Japan Tunisia/Saudi Arabia/Panama

The Portuguese national team won the European Cup by playing ugly without giving a damn what non Portuguese people think. All that maters is the W! However, Spain is definitely not a team to be underestimating.
Hell, I don’t think Portugal played ugly. It’s just how it was feed to the people by the media. We were in control all of those games.
Is there much benefit to finishing 1st in our group ? In the Euro, it worked out very nicely finishing second. lol.
If we finish 1st, there is a chance that we face Argentina in the Quater Finals. How nice would that be ? Ronaldo vs Messi in the World Cup !!!!! Better than facing France in the Quarter Finals
Y'all are right. I should be used to this by now anyways. I just feel that we have a good enough team to win against the likes of Spain without any distractions like they have now.
First would, in theory, keep us away from Uruguay in the round of 16. Not that they are to be feared, necessarily, but I’d rather play Russia, Egypt or Saudi. Then, in theory, it’ll be one of Argentina (or Croatia or Nigeria depends who wins that group) or Peru (or France if they come in second...the Aussies and Denmark could also meet us here). But the bet would be Argentina
I think this will just galvanize the Spanish, I hope our players dont think this is going to be a walkover now.
