I would put vdBeek in for deRoon in 2nd half

 

The issues are the wingers. De Roon has played good so far

 

Virgil, Gini & cilessen are having an excellent game so far!
Our front line is not effective.

 

Babel should never put on an Oranje jersey again and Bergwijn just isn't ready. He is so average

 

The strategy looks like we save energy for 2nd half; hope the extra time in England
game did not affect fitness bc we have 0 shot. It is hard to win if we rely on Portugal own goal.

 

I'm not saying he's having a bad game, I'm merely saying he doesnt add anything to our attack, whereas vdBeek will produce more creativity

 

Portugal look pretty lethargic too though

Cillessen is such a trash goalie. How he is our number 1 is so sad

 

It’s one of those games... nothing is landing, portugal is going to stall the last 20 minute out of the game. Van de Beek should have been in from the start, the game has been better.

Bergwijn was terrible. Honestly he’s such an overrated player at this moment, so remarkably average. He’s still young but at this moment it’s a no, he’s just not good enough.

 

We have no attacking options.

 

I've never understood the hype about Bergwijn. He is just so average at everything. There is time for him to get a bit better but he is never going to be a top player like some were calling for. Seems like longterm he should be a bench option for Oranje if they want to be a legit threat

 

How does VAR miss that certain penalty?

Their number 4 dragged De Jong to the ground in the box

 

Depay's first touch has been horrible all game

 

Not that we would have won anyway, but tell me please... how were there 6 minutes of extra time for the Ajax vs Tottenham game and only 3 for this game? Fairly similar half besides one less goal....

Cancer Portugal. What a crap this was

 

I saw the replay and it didnt look to me like there was enough in that challenge for a penalty

 

Lol it’s so typically Dutch and so typically Portuguese. As the commentator said, this was exactly what I would have expected from the game. A shit game and an average Portuguese goal to pull out the 1-0.

Netherlands has no one to blame but themselves though. All of the forwards were so shit. Luuk actually did what he had to do.

In my opinion Bergwijn currently has no place in this team. Babel definitely has no place in this team. Try some other options: Stengs, Kluivert, Malen.... I would prefer any of those honestly.
