was also pretty meh during the final vs Dortmund and missed the decisive PK in the shootout as Dortmund U19 won. I remember when it came time for him to kick, had the face of a guy who had no confidence.
Confirmed: Former US youth international Jonathan Gonzalez has received his one-time switch from FIFA to be able to play for the Mexican national team.Expecting him to be in the squad to face Bosnia next Wednesday in San Antonio. #eltrieng https://t.co/RPw5m4UU6L— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) January 24, 2018

Fernando Arce is suggesting he wants to now play for El Tri, though he hasn't really proven himself in Liga MX (he's in the 2nd tier now). He would require a one-time switch to play for Mexico. http://www.espn.com.mx/futbol/mexic...uiere-cambiar-de-seleccion-y-jugar-con-mexico "Of course, it is my goal to be in the Mexican National Team, obviously to reach a World Cup and to work with Mexico would be my dream, because seeing my dad as a player was always my inspiration, I hope to be able to carry the green one day", declared Arce Jr. The young 23-year-old played for the set of stars and stripes in the 2015 U-20 World Championship, after that competition he no longer had any contact or contact with the United States Soccer Federation.
A surprise addition to the USMNT as Tyler Boyd has left New Zealand: NEWS: FIFA has approved a one-time change of association request from attacker Tyler Boyd, clearing the way for him to represent the #USMNT. Guy is playing well in Turkey, has refused call ups from a country he wasn't born in, expressed interest to media for playing for the country he was born in and lived for 10 years, and it is a surprise when he switches? It is only a surprise because we think USSF doesn't care about talent not playing in MLS. This is one welcome data point that maybe Stewart and Berhalter have a better grasp on the player pool than they demonstrated in March.
Which ones has Stewart or Berhalter recruited? In March, GB left off the roster completely three dual nationals that Sarachan was regularly calling in. This might be like Arena with Saief, a token player to talk about as you continue to mold the roster towards MLS. We will see.
Updated list: IN Tyler Boyd Teal Bunbury Edgar Castillo Jesse Gonzalez Julian Green Aron Johannsson Fabian Johnson Jermaine Jones Edwin Lara Aaron Maund Kenny Saief OUT Arturo Alvarez (to El Salvador) Dustin Correa (to El Salvador) Jonathan Gonzalez (to Mexico) Jeremy Hall (to Puerto Rico) Moises Hernandez (to Guatemala) Fuad Ibrahim (to Ethiopia) Gerson Mayen (to El Salvador) Nick Millington (to Guyana) Alex Nimo (to Liberia) Oscar Sorto (to El Salvador) Nevin Subotic (to Serbia) Tony Taylor (to Panama)
Not an official "one time switch." He never played for a US youth team and was never provisionally cap-tied at the youth level. You only need to file the one time switch if you play for a youth national team in an official competition. All these players did that and had to get FIFA approval to move NTs.
Well considering Berhalter has been in charge for a few months I think already snagging one is a hell of a rate. I love how you've already cracked the code on this conspiracy when GB's only been in charge for one camp and half the team was Euro based
There is no code to crack, not sure what you are talking about. Many dual nationals on the 40 man Gold Cup roster, more than expected in fact. So, a good sign of fresh thinking.
Danny Acosta is on the Honduras' 40 man preliminary roster for the Gold Cup. He's provisionally cap-tied to the US since he played in the u20 World Cup. I'm guessing he must have filed for a one time switch?
Now that is news. Some people are going to be very upset to lose him. It could be that Honduras is speculating.
He made the final roster for the Gold Cup, so we can assume the switch has happened. https://www.laprensa.hn/deportes/12...enamiento-juegos-amistosos-conferencia-prensa
This is only possible once transitioning to youth to full National so it’s too late for Pulisic to do anything but regret not joining Croatia, right?
We've got a bunch of fans who are basically hoping that some of our best players do this so they can whine even more.
