Jose has mentioned that Lukaku is doing much better, that he really wanted to play today, but they are being safe and following the concussion protocol. Claims he might have a shot at playing in the FA Cup game vs Derby.
Lukaku needs the rest, regardless of whether he's recovered from the head injury. No doubt he fears losing his place if he's out for 3-4 games and his replacement goes on a tear, but the interests of the club must always come first.
Lukaku and Fellaini are both back from their respective injuries. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-news-lukaku-fellaini-14112834 And Carrick is back in training and is probably close as well.

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic is injured, or is not totally happy with his condition,” Jose says. “The date for him to be back in training is around the end of January or the beginning of February, so let's hope his feelings are better and we have him as soon as possible.” #MUFC pic.twitter.com/K6q0q83pLb— Manchester United (@ManUtd) January 12, 2018

Jose indicated that it's another knee injury for Fellaini, with apparent ligament damages. Probably looking at another extensive stint on the sidelines.

Not sure where this is coming from Nemanja Matić has reportedly been carrying an injury for the last 6 weeks, which could explain his recent dip in form for Manchester United. 🤕🔴 pic.twitter.com/moUTaba9d8— Football Tweet ⚽ (@Football__Tweet) February 2, 2018
No indication of what kind of injury he's allegedly suffering from make that report suspect... Plus, if he really was carrying an injury around and playing nonetheless, it does not take an expert to see how just stupid that would be, especially with Herrera available (regardless of his form or how Jose may feel about him). Bottom line, as it's been said time and again, it's imperative for Matic to be benched for lesser games (like the one this weekend vs Huddersfield for instance), if there is any hope we'll have him fresh and back in form for the big, important games coming up. He's played a lot and his form is clearly an issue at this point and it's not going to get better if Jose just keeps on running him to the ground.
he was dipping way before then. but again to be fair Pogba doesn't help him out as his only midfield partner
More details on Jose's injury update from earlier. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-injury-news-fellaini-14237943 Not that he needs to be rushed back by any means, but Bailly's return will surely be welcome. It's been pretty clear that our backline has missed him a great deal and is not as solid as it was earlier in the season.
I've been harping on this point for months. Pogba offers zero help from a defensive standpoint. Matic isn't good, but he's being asked to do a two-man job by himself. Those who think that buying a better CDM will help things are wrong. As long as we have Pogba we need to play a 3 man midfield again any half-way decent teams otherwise our midfield will get overrun.
Jose confirmed today that Fellaini will be out 6wks, after getting surgery on his knee. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-injury-news-fellaini-14242911
Eric Bailly, central del Manchester United, entrenará mañana viernes con el equipo. El cuerpo técnico comprobará en los 3 entrenamientos que quedan hasta el partido del Sevilla si está en condiciones.Recuperado de su lesión,el único hándicap sería su falta de ritmo.@chirichampions— Jose Alvarez Haya (@10JoseAlvarez) February 15, 2018 Not sure how reliable this guy is but I’m not sure it would be a good idea to have Baily play against Sevilla after being out for 3 months and only training with the first team 3 times.

We will have to wait for confirmation from Jose in his press conference, but both Martial and Zlatan have been spotted in full training with the team, indicating they could be ready and good to go/available for tomorrow. No Pogs in training today, so it's not looking too good for him.
