Outside of the Bayern goal, my favorite goal of his, is the winning goal against Liverpool in '99 when we came back to win it.

The consummate professional... loyal, soft spoken, he did his talking on the pitch. Perhaps the most clinical finisher I have seen at United. Ole and Giggs are my all-time favorite players. I'll miss watching him play and wish him well. A true Legend.

There was that one moment last season, I don't remember against who, but we were struggling for a goal, so Ole waited for the goalie to release the ball so he can steal it and put it in the back of the net. It didn't count, but you can't help but love that kind of guile.

Love you, Ole.

Well there is no way he would be the next Manager, and with former players Keane, Hughes, and Coppell (I'm not counting Bruce) already managing in the Premiere League, it may be tough road for Ole. But you never know.

I would think Carlos is going to get the nod when Fergie calls it a day.

Not a United fan exactly but players like Solskjaer are a role model to youngsters today... he was always willing to sacrifice himself for the team - a true professional. You will be missed Ole.

Sad day. I honestly hoped he'd play anouther few years for us.

It's such a shame about the injury in the summer, because if anyone has the determination to come back from setbacks it was Ole, but I guess it was just one too far.

Thanks for your invaluable contributition to Man Utd's history, we will never forget it 20LEGEND.

Haha! It's a sad day for any ManU fan as Ole has decided to hang up his boots! The last couple of years with all his injuries must have really frustrated him to say the least. He was an outstanding player in his time with ManU & scored many important goals for ManU in some very big matches'! Not only was he a great player but more important he was an outstanding team player! ManU has so many great & talented players' but there will always be only one Ole! Well done Ole! He will go down in the books as one of Man United's all time Greats'!

He scored in 90 games, of which we won 74, drew 13 and lost just 3 - that pretty much says it all about the player. Words can do the man no justice.

IIRC even Liverpool were investing in Norwegian players when we bought Ole. We got quite lucky there.
