The USL season usually starts around the first weekend in April. As far as the schedule goes it should be out any day now. Last year it was out Jan 24th, and the year before than Jan 11th. April 26th is really late for the "first" match for the Energy. It might be the first home game.
Wouldn't be shocked if it has to do with the stadium reno - it's a tall order to overhaul the surface, but there has been a lot of progress. Curious how this affects the BMHS soccer and track, though - that is the home park that is being put on ice.
The only upside to this is that that snide prick Bob Barry Jr. is being forced to talk soccer. Such a piece of stool.
Today on The Franchise one of the guys was TRYING to ralk about soccer and the other two were pretty much calling him a Commie
Morning or afternoon? I didn't know that the split between 107 & the Animal would actually make Stooley and Lump suck even more. I had a great troll on them about 10 years ago, got BigSoccer to call in and shut their show down after Steely called in from Rome on his honeymoon to bitch about the city shutting down when they won the league. Actually had that worthless cripple for life they used to have sporting that soccer took no athletic ability. How would you know, Dan, you've been crippled since birth *Click* lifetime ban
The midday show on the Animal will let soccer callers through. I've been hung up on the Franchise each time.
Does anyone listen to SiriusXM 94?y just started a soccer show this morning that is SUPPOSEDLY exclusively about AMERICAN soccer. It's called "Over The Ball". I liked it. I listen to The Football Show. But I can only hear about AC Milan, Real Madrid, and Barcelona so many times before I want to take hostages. Counter Attack in the afternoons is better...but they still drift off into Euro soccer a ton. Don'we have a league here? WHY can't we get at least a 30-minute show to talk about it? Maybe this new one will fit the bill.
We'll see if BBJ responds to the e-mails I just forwarded back to him about pro soccer at any level not coming to OKC Never is a long time you immoral fat shit
I was sad when I flipped the channel to 107 recently and it was sports radio. Eventually found it on 104.5. I normally only listen to NPR, KTOK, etc, but if they are going to be talking about soccer in 107, I'd definitely tune in. I agree as well!
Well...they were being tools and telling him he had 10 seconds per week to talk about soccer. Har har har...whatever
There is a daily show on nasn.tv called Soccer Morning. I stumbled across it last week and have watched each day since. It's not bad. Mostly MLS & USMNT discussion with some Eurotalk thrown in. It was either Friday or Monday's show, they discussed some nasl & usl and talked about both leagues starting a franchise in Oklahoma City.
I got to meet Coach Nielsen at Skinny Slims tonight. Great guy, super friendly. Enjoyed the chat about all different levels of soccer. The MLS Cup sure was fun to look at. She's a beaute.
I like Soccer Morning but get the impression he doesn't know much about the lower leagues. He seems to know a little bit about the NASL, but barely anything (if at all) about the USL.
Sweet! Thats actually MY flag! I'm wearing my Portland Timbers shirt right now. I just noticed your avatar
