No offense to you, because I'm sure you are just repeating what you've been told, but I'll believe it when I see it. We've heard this same "major announcement forthcoming!" more than a few times, from several different people, and it's never panned out. I'm truly hoping that it does though.
I was going to state the same thing. "Hoping to have a major announcement" technically isn't information, it's speculation. I'm hoping to win the New York lottery next week too, but I have a contingency plan. You know, just in case. A worst-case scenario that was, IMHO, far more likely to happen than the prospects of an expansion club announced by Tim Holt last summer that would "never play a game?" SOS should have announced their NPSL team MONTHS AGO... Just one minor reason out of several. For a "professional" sports management organization, Brad Lund and "Soldout Strategies" have done a craptastic job so far preparing for the 2014 NPSL season. And yes, when you have so-called professional staff who were told the name of the preseason cup weeks ago, you'd think they'd at least get the name right. Geez. Condescend much? Tulsa and OKC are in Oklahoma. Ft Worth and Plano are in Texas. They are separated by the Red River. Leave it to OKC boosters with their own petty agendas taking offense at the choice of a name for a pre-season cup.
