Welcome Mendy and good luck, haven’t seen him play, from the few clips looks a lot like Gareth (when he was actually quick ) in how he gets by his opponents going forward, wish him success

Haven't seen him play often, but I'm very happy the club addressed an obvious weak spot in defense. Seems like a fantastic player from what the few times I've seen him. The club has been busy as hell and it seems that we really have a 'transfer chest' to accommodate Zidane's wishes. Can't wait to see what's next (in midfield)!

Real Madrid has been ruthlessly clinical in their signings this summer. Not even halfway done with June and 5 players coveted by many top teams are already confirmed. Ridiculous! Love it!

    Now for the Pogba/Eriksen chase...

It's this ESPN/Bleacher report journo who's a Barca fanboy. ESPN also has Graham Hunter, whose only job is to make every article he writes about Real Madrid turn into a Barca slurpfest.

Gotta agree with this, his runs look very similar to a young Gareth, when he also had a bit of technique as well. I think the major difference is that he tracks back much more, and he's gonna actually play as a LB, so his technique is much better than your average LB, unlike say LW.

Marca says Rodrygo will be presented on Tuesday and Mendy on Wednesday.

Militao probably won't get a traditional presentation as he's away with Brazil NT for Copa America and will join for pre-season after Copa and vacation.

As someone else noted, I too haven't seen him play tbh. From YouTube it seems we're getting a technical and physically strong player. I'll admit, I'm a little bit hyped.

But the thread, bruh, after reading that I feel emasculated.

I listened to that Ligue 1 podcast to know more about him and I was fascinated by his story, he was on PSG books as a youngster and had a issue with his hip. Doctors said he might not walk again. He was let go by PSG. Was out of football for a while and then joined La Havre and began his comeback and ascension. Now signs with El Madrid.

Stuff like that impacts your character. Hopefully it made him tougher and gave him grit. Who doesn't love an underdog.

Anyway, according to this French Ligue journalist he had a amazing first 6 months of the year and then got injured in March and struggled the rest of the way including the 2 games against Barcelona. He says he has improved every season so far. He is a attacking fullback who has phenomenal stamina...…. he can run and run on the flank and has a good cross. He also said that this season Mendy has pretty much had to do it all on the Lyon left flank and even then shown his brilliance. Especially defensively because he has had no help (this bodes well for us Lol).

They say he is not a finished product yet even tho the price tag might suggest that. They say he can have a similar type of career as Abidal if he can improve his defense.

So the stuff about his hip has some truth to it.
