There is. The players from BL2 are generally much more limited (technically and speed-wise). Top players from BL2 mostly fail to become good BL1 players and failed BL1 players frequently save their careers by becoming good BL2 players. Darmstadt and Kaiserslautern struggled because of bad management and losing their best players. I mean, you can't take Michael Frontzek serious if you have followed BL1&2 over the years. It's true that the gap between bottom BL1 clubs and top BL2 clubs look dissimilar, but mostly because the top BL2 clubs have the quality for BL1. Most of them still fail to stay in BL1 over more than 2 years (Darmstadt, Paderborn, Braunschweig, etc.).
His play really reminds of Ki's. If I interpret it correctly, him playing deep lying playmaker means that he has a central role within the team now. Now he has to control and build up the game. He has got the physical traits, vision and passing skills for a CM, while I've always felt he was not a really good winger. I think this position change might increase his chances of becoming a Girona member next season.
I really hope both PSH and Kim Jungmin can successfully develop in Europe. It is a better pairing than the KooKi pairing that we had in the 2012 Olympics. Along with leadership from KCH and the emergence of LKI, we should have a solid midfield.
Would be a very technically gifted midfield. And let's not exclude Lee Seung Woo. He's still a big talent.
I don't really get your point which is exactly my point that a chunk of BL2 is of similar caliber to bottom BL1. Its not like Spain/France where these 2nd tier clubs look like they picked guys up off the street. Of course its a lower level with less budget and quality but they try to play football unlike in the Championship and the level of play is reasonably high for a second tier league.
PSH can be a more athletic KSY, which can help push an attack quicker and cover more ground when tracking back. he'll need to build up some more strength to hold off pressing defenders at a higher level though
I found a better and longer version: He played even better lol. Seriously forget JWY, just bring him to the WC as Ki's back up lol. Just kidding.
Now with Hamburger SV relegated, they could renew the contract of Seo Young Jae and use him as a backup? Btw, Tatsuya Ito is a true gem. What he did with his 1.63 is just beyond amazing.
I love PSH's game. I really hope he is given a chance to develop and fulfill his potential. I think he could be a great #8.
It looks like Paik Seung-Ho has been called up to Girona FC and will join the team starting July 9th. http://v.sports.media.daum.net/v/20180516165349325
My guess is that they'll use him for summer training and see how he fits in. tbh, I'll be a bit surprised as it seems he's not setting Segunda B on fire. Maybe a loan out at a higher level would make sense.
PJB gets first start post ACL injury. He came on as a sub previously. It’s been impressive to see his diligence in rehab on IG. Vores start-1⃣1⃣ til aftenens kamp mod HB Køge #viborgff pic.twitter.com/v3y6fDC3Pj— Viborg FF ☘️ (@viborgff) May 16, 2018
He is the future and his inclusion would do wonders for the future of Korean football. It's unfortunate that shortsightedness gives the likes of JWY priority.
I do remember that when he signed with Girona/Peralada, it was in his contract that after 1 year with the B team, he would be promoted. So at least Girona kept that promise, we'll see what happens next!
